JUNIOR PARTNERSHIPS OFFICER

Location: Based in Colombo with travel

Job Profile

Working under the direct supervision of the Senior Partnerships Coordinator, this position will provide support for the Corporate Partnership team in developing new corporate partnerships / managing partnership acquisitions and relationships in line with department strategy. The position predominantly entails developing new concept notes, proposals, and other relevant documentation such as MOUs, subsidiary agreements etc.during the acquisition stage of each partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal development – Timely development of quality concept notes and proposals in collaboration with relevant parties both internally & externally, ensuring all requirements/information is captured with accuracy & the ground work is in place for WVL to secure successful corporate partnership opportunities for its programs.

  • Database creation and management – Develop & manage a Database to capture details of all corporate partners, submitted concept notes, proposals & related information for effective information management.

  • Secure corporate partners – Acquire & build strategic Corporate partnerships for the delivery of sustainable projects in line with organisational objectives & WVL Programme priorities.

  • Engagement with Operations /Technical leadsDevelop a systematic process to identify and record the needs of the Area Development Programs (ADP) and Area Programs (AP) resulting in the formulation/design of successful proposals/bids for corporate funding.

  • Development of MOUs– In collaboration with the Corporate Solutions / Legal team & the relevant stakeholders, develop agreements/MOUs for effective contract/partnership management

  • Team Player - Support the Corporate Partnerships Team in working efficiently to achieve organisational goals and objectives effectively

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Diploma/Degree in Social Sciences, Marketing or related discipline

  • At least one (01) year experience in a similar role, preferably in the development context

  • Excellent proposal writing and presentation skills

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Experience in proposal development & successful bid submissions

  • Strong IT skills and extensive knowledge in MS Office tools

CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS OFFICER - MARKETING

Location: Based in Colombo with extensive travel

Job Profile

Working under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager Corporate Partnerships, the position will support the Partnerships team in developing and disseminating marketing material to potential corporate partners, in line with the corporate partnership strategy of World Vision Lanka (WVL) in meeting its programmatic priorities within the communities we serve.

This role will mainly entail:

  • Development of corporate specific marketing material / activities / events

  • Dissemination of marketing material on suitable channels

  • Successful development of strategic, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Business to Business (B2B) partnerships

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships– Create and disseminate relevant marketing material on the appropriate channels to build and establish relationships with corporates and other organizations to secure strategic, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Business to Business ( B2B) partners to meet the department target in corporate partnerships.

  • Management of key relationships– through continuous follow up and aiming to retaining key contacts through regular and consistent communications. Building strong relationships with CSR managers and marketing teams of Corporates to initiate partnerships and sustain relationships

  • Engagement with External Engagement / Communications Liaison– Formulate and implement an external engagement and communications strategy to build WVL’s brand image with potential partners.

  • Reporting - Creation of metrics reports – track, measure and report on marketing and sales activities and effectiveness.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Degree / Diploma in marketing or Business Management.

  • Qualified in Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) – Part or full qualification (Preferred).

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills in English & ability to communicate in Sinhala and/or Tamil preferred.

  • Sales, Marketing and relationship management exposure (preferred).

Sponsorship Co-ordinator - Nuwara Eliya

SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR

Location: Nuwara Eliya

Job Profile

The Sponsorship Coordinator provides specialized support for the implementation of Sponsorship operations within the area programme. The position supports the Area programme manager in ensuring Sponsorship is well integrated within the area programme including assuring the accurate and timely processing of correspondence and monitoring of child well-being outcomes for all Registered Children. The Sponsorship Coordinator participates in sponsorship education processes and contributes as needed, providing technical input on sponsorship messaging and on sponsorship aspects of community engagement. The position participates in community engagement and capacity building efforts of partners and community groups. The position is also responsible for providing subject matter expertise for the integration of sponsorship requirements with development process and life skills.

The Sponsorship Coordinator will also provide coordination and support to ensure Child Monitoring Standards are met. The position ensures sponsor communications activities are designed in such way so as to contribute to child participation and voice. The position is also responsible for the coordination of design, development of communication materials, quality assurance and administration. The Sponsorship Coordinator also coordinates information management data quality, data entry, monitoring, tracking, exception reports, follow-up and reports.

Major Responsibilities

Support the Sponsorship Operations in the delivery of high quality, efficient and effective implementation of the Sponsorship Program within the Area Programme(AP) in the following areas:

  • Provide Technical input for effective community engagement and sponsorship education of partners & community groups in understanding WVs key priorities for child well-being & facilitate implementation

  • Coordinate timely design & development of quality sponsorship communication material as per sponsorship standards

  • Ensure child selection criteria is developed in line with WV priorities & local context & coordinate overall process of child selection & related functionalities

  • Establish an effective mechanism to integrate CWB monitoring plan within project activity plans in meeting established standards

  • Enhance capacity of local stakeholders for effective community led child protection interventions utilizing monitoring data at community level

  • Provide clear plans and subject matter expertise to the Area Program Team in Project Planning, implementation, Log-frame development, Project Design & Evaluations

  • Responsible for the preparation of Annual Business Plans, Sponsorship Budgets & regular management reports as required

  • Ensure quality assurance, record management ,including data entry, documentation , timely & appropriate response to queries & Gift Notifications (GNs)

  • Provide leadership to Sponsorship Assistant in the delivery of high quality, efficient and effective sponsorship program within the Area Program(AP)

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • Bachelors Degree in any relevant discipline

  • Five yearsexperience in World Vision or similar agency, preferably in a similar role

  • Experience in sponsorship operations, program planning, implementation & monitoring preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication in English & Sinhala/Tamil as required

  • Strong IT skills & competent in the use of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Power Point

Vacancy Project Coordinator

Location – Welikanda

Job Profile

This position will serve as the primary link between community, local partners, Area Program (AP) team and Technical staff to facilitate the implementation of technical projects and Community Engagement & Sponsorship Plan (CESP) towards the improved and sustained well-being of children while focusing the Most Valuable Children in the assigned communities.

Major Responsibilities

1. Effective Implementation of Technical Projects-Program Management in assigned communities.

  • Work closely with Zonal Technical Coordinators (TPC) to introduce and build capacity for local partners on technical project models, guidelines, tools

  • Facilitate the implementation of technical projects in the PFA including project models in alignment with the standard the standard guidelines and tools

  • Work closely with TPC and technical local partners to facilitate the supportive

  • supervision process in assigned communes to ensure technical quality of the project models

  • Mainstream Cross Cutting Themes (CPPa, gender, environment, disability) in all project activities whenever appropriate

  • Document best practices and advocate for the replication of technical project

  • models to larger scale

  • Monitor and report (ITT and narrative) on the progress of Technical Projects

  • (monthly, Mid-year, annually)

  • Facilitate communities and partners to participate in the baseline survey and evaluation in assigned communes.

  • Network with local partners and create space for collaboration and forging partnerships to improve CWB

2. Efficient Financial Management - Program Management in assigned communities.

  • Manage resources with integrity and stewardship, in compliance with WVL financial policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate procurement and strategic sourcing in assigned commune

3. Effective Planning & Implementation-Community Engagement and Sponsorship:

  • Facilitate partnering/ networking with and connections among different local stakeholders (formal and informal community groups, businesses, NGOs and local government agencies, etc.) to mobilize resources for the well-being of children

  • Raise awareness of local partners and community in assigned commune on WVs

  • Christian identity and values, child focused and community based development approach

  • Assess and build capacities of local partners and empower them together with communities to improve CWB.

  • Facilitate contextualized community engagement process to identify, prioritize and select TPs and Micro Projects considering the different phase of the AP.

  • Support communities and partners to develop and implement the community-based disaster preparedness plans

  • Facilitate to implement a program accountability system in the assigned PFA

4. Strengthened Monitoring system in PFA- Community Engagement and Sponsorship:

  • Facilitate capacity building on shared monitoring for community members and partners in the assigned PFA.

  • Facilitate shared activity monitoring, maintain and share the records with relevant staff and partners.

  • Facilitate annual reflections with communities, children and partners and share the learning with AP team for improvement of program plans.

  • Facilitate shared monitoring of MVC

  • Facilitate Activity monitoring through mobile

5. Strengthened child participation & protection - Community Engagement and Sponsorship:

  • Strengthen child clubs and children led community initiatives

  • Promote the use of child friendly tools such as photo voice, body map, river of life to increase child participation and voice in the Community

  • Strengthen child protection committees and other systems in the assigned PFA.

6. Ensured MVC inclusion -Community Engagement and Sponsorship:

  • Facilitate capacity building for communities and local partners in MVC mapping

  • Facilitate the process of MVC mapping and updates

  • Utilize MVC mapping results for program planning and support to make sure MVC are included and best benefiting from technical project interventions/ models

  • Document best practices, lesion learnt and MSC (Most Significant Change) stories of MVC anCommunity Engagement and Sponsorship:

7. Ensure Micro projects properly managed in PFA – Community engagement & sponsorship

  • Build capacity of communities and partners to identify, plan, implement and report micro projects.

  • Facilitate the community based groups in development and implementation of micro projects

  • Facilitate community based groups in monitoring and reporting of micro projects.

8. Effective Sponsorship integration- Community Engagement and Sponsorship:

  • Include RC in project activities and monitor participation and benefits of RC and their families

  • Coordinate the child registration and well-being monitoring of children, including RC in assigned communes as per sponsorship standards through the Sponsorship Field Assistant (SFA) or Community Care Groups (CCG) network

  • Coordinate with sponsorship Coordinator, SFA and Community care Groups to implement TFE in the assigned PFA .

9. Leadership & personal development

  • Provide overall leadership to facilitate the development process in the assigned PFA

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Development Studies, Community Development or any other relevant field OR A diploma in social sciences with 3 year field experience on community development.

  • At least 3 years experience in Community Development, Program / Project Coordination in a complex, international organization preferably in INGO context.

  • Experience in program implementation, community mobilization and participatory approach would be an advantage.

  • Experience in capacity building for local stakeholders/partners.

  • Experience of working with children.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and well-developed written and oral communications skills in Sinhala / Tamil.

  • Fair English skill. (both writing and speaking)

  • Ability to ride a motor bike with a valid ridding license

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Academic requirements, technical skills or other knowledge preferred for this position.

  • Conceptual understanding of and commitment to development work, especially Christian, child-focused, community-based development concepts, approaches and processes.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of key aspects of development work; including child protection, nutrition /health, livelihoods, resilience, advocacy, cross-cutting themes (e.g. gender, environment, disability, child participation).

Specialist – Management Information System (MIS) and Knowledge Management

JOB PROFILE

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership for knowledge management system and MIS system building on the Horizon platform. accordingly main tasks of this position will be;

  • To develop and implement an effective MIS system and process for WVL supported by functional Horizon platform. The person will support in performing DME functions being an active member of the DME team.

  • This position is required to facilitate intentional learning, and its application to promote a learning culture and create credible evidence across all departments

MAJOR DELIVERABLES

Established functional knowledge management system for WVL

  • Design a new knowledge management strategy for WVL while managing the current knowledge management practices and analyzing the required information needed at different levels

  • Develop process and mechanism for capturing knowledge and dissemination of knowledge internally

  • Identify and recommend ways to facilitate external including partnership learning and sharing in collaboration with communications team

  • Work with DME/MEAL specialists in collating analysis of data appropriately

  • Feed finding of learning processors to organizational decision making processors

Facilitated effective learning and sharing

  • Facilitate the process of setting department wise annual learning and sharing plans

  • Provide guidelines / templates for documenting knowledge products for key functions

  • Create necessary online platforms for learning and sharing and progress dashboards for monitoring

Lead cross function Horizon implementation team and ensure contribution from each department on time

  • Support NO departments in providing data from Horizon and MIS

  • Work closely with NO departments specially GAM, finance, Technical Program Manager / Specialists, Communications and others regarding data validation and data consistency checking as per their requirements.

  • Establish effective working relationship with Sponsorship and other concern departments regarding TFE implementation

  • Coordinate the Finance team in Budgeting (budget planning & monitoring ) processes

Ensure a database is in place and functioning and required capacity built to manage the database

  • Ensure an effective database is developed and functioning together with DME team considering the information need of internal and external clients

  • Post-Graduation Degree in Social Science/Statistics

VACANCY Coordinator Travel & Warehouse Monitoring

Location: Colombo with ability to travel as required

Job Profile

To provide optimum provision for the Logistics team. This would entail assisting with entire organization Logistics and Asset Management of the National Office, Projects and ADPs. To ensure that the National Office Logistics & Asset Management functions are within the partnership standards. The role also requires setting forth plans for an efficient and effective Logistics & Asset Management supported by the business plans for implementing goals and objectives. Another key requirement would be to maintain information and develop analytical reports as and when required to help the organization for better decision making. Should integrate and support the development and HEA programs to reach their goals efficiently and effectively. A key focus of this position is training of relevant staff and where needed the organization on all aspects of Logistics practices Asset Management practices and technical requirements.

Major Responsibilities

  • Initiate & implement a well-coordinated strategy for the effective & efficient asset management inclusive of logistics, fleet, warehouse and assets of the National Office, Field Offices and Projects across the country.

  • Assist in implementing, and formalising the logistics & Asset management policies, procedures & practices for the effective and efficient use of organisation resources

JOB PROFILE

The position will be responsible to provide support for the Humanitarian & Emergency Affairs Department in the development of quality proposals / concepts and ensure smooth implementation of relief, recovery and rehabilitation projects. This position will support and lead when required the Emergency Response across the country in ADP areas and other locations during emergencies. This position will play a very strategic role in mobilizing resources and liaising with donors.

MAJOR DELIVERABLES

  • Support HEA Manager in formulation of HEA strategy in alignment with the Country Strategy.

  • Assist the Manager HEA in implementing the strategy and the business plan that had been developed.

  • Maintenance of the National Emergency Relief and Preparedness Fund

  • Develop quality programs, outputs and the implementation of project activities in terms of relief, recovery & rehabilitation projects.

  • Grants and private funded programmes successfully managed in relation to reporting,

monitoring, cash flow

  • Good financial and operational audit results and evaluation reports. Ensure

  • Monitor physical and financial progress of Grant/ PNS projects Negotiate for CF

  • Facilitate donor liaison & advocacy to resource operations plan to address humanitarian need.

  • Support and drive the ADPs and other Disaster Prone areas in times of Humanitarian Emergency through a consultative process of the staff of HEA and other stakeholders.

  • Support all Humanitarian Emergencies in the country with utmost efficiency and facilitate resources mobilization.

  • NDMT selection and capacity building

  • In consultation with HEA Manager & Operations select and equip National Disaster Management Team [NDMT] to be quickly deployed in emergencies

  • Support Finance in the allocation and tracking of response funding to ensure response strategic priorities are funded and effective leveraging of available funding

  • Support Finance to establish a grant management system to ensure fulfilment of donor.

  • Participate in strategic networks and alliances internally and externally in relation to HEA programming directly and in assistance of WVLs other ministries, where applicable, for the furtherance of HEAs efforts pertaining to integration, transition and mainstreaming of Disaster Management to contribute toward the organizations objectives and interests.

  • Manage warehouse stocks at National Office, instructions given to focal points of the 04 warehouses for the movement of stocks. Responsible for Warehouse maintenance. Work closely with logistics team.

  • All reports of projects run by HEA to be uploaded to Horizon.

  • Monthly Management Reports from HEA is sent to OPS Director each month in a timely manner

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • A Bachelors degree in the Social Sciences or equivalent with DRR knowledge, plus field experience in relief, rehabilitation and in development

  • Strong familiarity or experience with the workings of a nonprofit organization and with non-profit;

  • Strong familiarity or experience with the workings of INGOs and World Vision in particular;

  • Ability to multi-task with several complex and demanding concurrent projects;

Response Programmes Director

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Response Programmes Director oversees/leads the Sector Programming Team, including Program Officer(s), Design Monitor Evaluation (DME), Humanitarian Accountability and Information Management. The Programme Director supports the Response Director (RD) and Operations Director (OD) in designing the response strategy and operations plan and works in close coordination with both.

The Response Programmes Director is responsible to manage grant acquisition, assessments, monitor and humanitarian accountability and liaises with Support Offices (SOs), and international donors.

Response Programmes Director is part of the Response Senior Leadership Team. Response Programmes Director will coordinate/advise with Response Director (RD)/Senior Leadership Team (SLT) go or no go for proposals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish, lead, resource and staff the programmes unit to meet response needs:

  • Lead team/individual development and provide direction and support as needed to enable effective performance.

  • Contribute to National Office (NO) capacity building in the area of emergency response in coordination with NO leadership and Human Resources (HR).

  • Determine Programmes organisational structure and staffing plan with HR.

  • Work with HR to recruit and deploy Programmes staff and plan for capacity development.

  • Ensure Programmes staff handovers are conducted.

  • Develop Programmes budget in coordination with Finance.

  • Support RD and Finance in developing Response Budget, ensuring strong alignment and coordination with Operations team during budgeting and budget management process.

  • Plan for Programmes Unit transition/integration with NO, where applicable.

Lead the programme planning process to ensure alignment with context, humanitarian needs, response strategy as well as operational feasibility and technical quality:

  • Support development of operational intent plan to align with funding allocations ensuring operational feasibility and

  • technical quality.

  • Support Sectors and Operations Director to draft response plan.

  • Work with Grants, Acquisition and Management (GAM) to coordinate grant acquisition.

  • Write Operational Intent inclusive of targets.

  • Prepare project RACIs (responsible, accountable, consulted, informed) for new grants.

Oversee donor liaison and advocacy is undertaken to resource operations plan to address humanitarian needs. The Response Programmes Director will ensure that the GAM team undertake the following activities:

  • Monitor and analyse donor opportunities to ensure they align with operational intent.

  • Communicate humanitarian needs identified through assessments, monitoring data and community feedback to in-country donors and Support Offices International Programmes Groups.

  • Represent World Vision with potential donors (ECHO, DFID, EU, OFDA, etc.) including bilateral, multilateral and corporate.

  • Collaborate with Advocacy to influence donor funding strategies when appropriate.

  • Liaises with SOs regarding donor priorities and opportunities for funding.

  • Support Finance in the allocation and tracking of response funding to ensure response strategic priorities are funded and effective leveraging of available funding.

  • Oversee development and submission of project proposals to donors to resource operations plan.

  • Develop project proposals with Operations, Advocacy, Finance and relevant Support functions and ensure stakeholders have the opportunity to review proposals and raise issues prior to submission to donors.

The Response Programmes Director will ensure that the DME team undertake the following activities:

  • Design and implement community consultation processes to ensure understanding of World Visions role, planned interventions and provide opportunities for input and feedback into programme and project designs.

  • Design and implement Information Provision plan to ensure that accurate and reliable information about the programme is made available and shared with communities in a timely and accessible manner.

Establish and support implementation of complaint and feedback mechanisms:

  • Document, implement and monitor complaint and feedback systems to ensure timely responses to communities.

  • Consolidate and analyse community complaint information to inform Operations and response management of key issues raised by beneficiaries.

  • Coordinate Humanitarian Accountability planning and learning with other accountability focused INGOs and LNGOs.

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Required:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years in leadership role in the humanitarian assistance and development sector, with a significant portion of this in INGOs.

  • 5 years experience in humanitarian assistance work.

  • Demonstrated understanding of key humanitarian principles, standards and best practices.

  • University degree in Humanitarian Studies or relevant field. Masters degree preferred.

  • Experience in program management and implementation of multi-sectoral emergency response projects.

  • Intensive experience in leading a multi-cultural team of professionals.

Response Director

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Response Director (RD) has primary responsibility for directing the response from strategy to implementation, inclusive of performance and oversight of all aspects of the response. She/he should develop and maintain an efficient, cohesive team, while ensuring effective coordination and relationships with the other agencies, officials, beneficiaries, donors and all areas of the Partnership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and monitor implementation of response strategy that addresses WV strategic goals to meet humanitarian needs:

  • Lead response strategy development with National Director (ND), Regional Leader (RL), Partnership Executive Team

  • (PET) and other senior stakeholders.

  • Ensure primary and secondary information on needs inform strategy formulation.

  • Ensure context analysis informs strategy development.

  • Consult with ND and RL to ensure National Office (NO) strategy and plans (including Child Wellbeing targets) are taken into account in

  • response strategy formulation.

  • Ensure strategy aligns with anticipated capacity.

  • Monitor appropriateness of strategy in addition to implementation of strategy and transition plans.

Ensure response is staffed to meet response needs:

  • Lead team/individual development and provide direction and support as needed to enable effective performance.

  • Contribute to NO capacity building in the area of emergency response in coordination with NO leadership and Human Resources (HR).

  • Determine response organization structure with ND and HR.

  • Conduct high-level workforce planning with HR and mobilise surge functions as required.

  • Identify and highlight areas of conflict to Response Senior Management Team (SMT), ND, RL and Partnership

  • Executive Committee (where activated).

  • Create and maintain collaborative relations and where appropriate partnerships with government, other NGOs, UN

  • agencies, civil society, churches, bi-lateral missions and donors.

  • Participate in consortium meetings and Response related national coordination meetings.

  • Ensure World Vision is represented at relevant technical and coordination mechanisms in-country.

  • Serve as an organizational spokesperson for media interviews, advocacy initiatives and other public events.

Develop and plan response to achieve response strategy goal and objectives:

  • Provide oversight to funding allocation (i.e. Private Non-sponsorship or PNS, grants, etc) to ensure alignment with

  • strategy and humanitarian needs.

  • Ensure response programme development meets World Vision and international standards.

  • Ensure that adequate funding to address humanitarian needs is acquired.

  • Ensure Advocacy staff are empowered to integrate advocacy across sectors and to develop child-focused advocacy positions which are aligned with strategy and organisational priorities, in strong alignment with NO and Response

  • Operations teams.

  • Facilitate the signing of MOUs and contracts, with donors, Support Offices (SOs) and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Ensure appropriate waivers are in place to facilitate timely response implementation.

Implement response programme in accordance with commitments to meet international and WV standards:

  • Ensure that accessible beneficiary feedback mechanisms are established and functioning.

  • Ensure staff establish community accountability methods across all of the response program.

  • Monitor and identify risks to programme quality and coordinate resources to address them.

  • Ensure that all programmes are implemented, monitored and evaluated according to set plans and that agreements

Response Operations Director

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Response Operations Director leads the Operations team and oversees the implementation of the response activities. He/she transforms the response strategy into implemented reality, managing day-to-day sector activities and providing technical guidance to the Programmes team for design and programme quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure program planning is informed by technical standards and operational viability:

  • Contribute to planning of sector requirements for people, funding and supplies.

  • Ensure all program designs are based on needs assessment findings (primary & secondary data) and analysis,

  • targets the most vulnerable/chronically and is operationally viable.

  • Ensure all programs refer to technical standards, consider government standards and are aligned with Strategic

  • Guidance and Do-Assure Dont Do (DADDs) for the First Phase of Emergency Responses and Sector Packages.

  • Ensure inclusion of advocacy issues and cross cutting themes are considered in design.

  • Ensure programs and projects are measured according to technical standards and Child Well-being targets.

  • Ensure Operations Plans are developed and implemented with community engagement, taking into account local capacities and utilising Do No Harm/Local Capacities for Peace (DNH/LCP).

Establish, lead, resource and staff Operations unit to meet response needs:

  • Lead team/individual development and provide direction and support as needed to enable effective performance.

  • Contribute to National Office (NO) capacity building in the area of emergency response in coordination with NO

  • leadership and Human Resources (HR).

Ensure implementation of response operations according to safety standards with support from the Security function:

  • Organise security assessments for all field operations that inform a security plan.

  • Implement the recommendations of the security plan for all field operations.

  • Ensure security incident reporting protocols are complied with by operations staff.

  • Ensure Operations staff adhere to security standards for staff movement and communications.

  • Work with Security to ensure safe and effective Civil/Military relationships with armed actors.

Ensure operations meet WV minimum quality standards and support improvement, reflection, learning and innovation in sectors:

  • Ensure previous sectors learning from Global Learning Facilitator are reviewed.

  • Address delays in Support Services to Response Manager for rapid resolution and waivers.

Identify, report and refer operational blockages caused by external actors to Liaison to be addressed through external advocacy:

  • Establish operation team protocols where sector and geographic leads identify and report where external actors are

  • delaying/preventing implementation.

  • Refer issues delaying implementation to Liaison to resolve through inter-agency coordination and/or government

  • relations.

  • Strong team leadership skills.

  • Academic and on-the-job training in at least one of the support services or response-sector relevant areas.

  • Understanding of the international humanitarian system, particularly the systems, structures and key actors.
