Job Opportunities in Georgia
World Vision opened its office in Tbilisi in 1994 in response to the country's dire need for economic assistance and intervention in the lives of Georgia's poor and vulnerable.
World Vision Georgia has identified the Child Welfare sector as a key focus of attention. Together with other international NGOs and governmental bodies, World Vision Georgia developed and piloted a significant number of unique services, such as: Day Care service for vulnerable children under 30 months, a crisis intervention centre for children living and working on the street, employment services, counselling services and psychosocial assistance for vulnerable mothers, as well as resource rooms in schools to support inclusive education.
Since 2008, World Vision Georgia also started a 12-year initiative in Imereti, Kakheti and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions of Georgia called Area Development Program (ADPs). By working in 52 communities of the aforementioned regions World Vision Georgia is contributing to the communities’ well-being by empowering local children and their families, especially the most vulnerable. Last year we directly reached over 52,916 people, (of whom 10,5893 are children/youth, and 42,327 are adults) through advocacy and development programming.
