Job Description

INTERN (FULL-TIME)

Purpose of the position

This position support the Area Program Team in implementation of Sponsorship project in the field which will contribute to all children of Tirana Area Program for a better life through transformed relationship between children and their sponsors. This position support and help the team to meets Sponsorship Operation Indicators through timely and accurate processing of sponsor-to-child and child-to-sponsor correspondence, maintaining Registered Children supply through adequate Registered Children management systems, ensuring carry-out of sponsorship activities in the Area Program.

Major responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of Child Sponsorship project activities in collaboration with other team members

  • Support the Area Program team & community stakeholders in conducting all activities related to sponsorship and other Area Program projects, ensuring the participation of all registered children;

  • Assist the Area Program team that field activities are done in collaboration with community stakeholders and partners.

  • Address to Area Program Team the issues founded in the area about the most vulnerable children in the community.

  • Communicate effectively World Vision’s identity, mission, vision, values and our approach to work in ways that are contextually appropriate and clear.

  • Support the team in registering & management of children in the program

  • Support the Area Program team to provide timely and qualitative correspondence that meets agency requirements;

  • Support the Area Program Team to respond to sponsor inquiries within given deadline;

  • Report every case of child abuse, child health problem, education problem and coordinating with sectors for a solution.

  • Report all the activities and processes are organized according to guidelines

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Social science or community development related university degree preferred.

  • Strong understanding on child rights/approaches in working with children

  • Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity, abilities to work as a team.

  • Effective in written and verbal communication

  • Good organizing and planning skills

  • Willingness and able to travel often in the field (90% of the time).
