Marketing and Fundraising Manager - Tirana

Job Description


The purpose of the role will be to build long term profitable fundraising initiatives by researching, shaping and implementing the organization’s fundraising plan, generating new and sustainable income streams via a range of corporate and individual partners. This is a high profile role involving interaction with a range of people from across corporate and individual segments, including World Vision Albania and Kosovo (WVA&K) networks, and raise awareness of the organization and its work, at both a local and national level; this will involve giving talks to groups or dealing with the media.


  • Develops the fundraising strategy and plan in consultation with the National Director and Senior Leadership Team to maximize funds.

  • Identify fundraising campaign ideas and other fundraising opportunities for WVA&K and identify ways in which to creatively make them happen.

  • Design and develop specific marketing plans with senior management and project leaders that are aligned with WVA&K business objectives.

  • Build and maintain individual based marketing and fundraising mechanism.

  • Builds new and maintaining profitable, long-term fundraising relationships with corporate and potential corporate sponsors.

  • Works towards accomplishment of targets by obtaining funds, finances, in-kind donations or volunteer teams based corporations.

  • Marketing products are in place following the right process.

  • Maintain liaison with relevant PR, internet, marketing agencies and corporations in Albania.

  • Implement fundraising campaigns and other donor’s acquisition and cultivation efforts.

  • Implement a donor cultivation strategy using mail, phone and personal meetings with donors.

  • Implement strategies for creative work and events as described above.

  • Create process papers and implementation plans for WVA&K web site that will help people coming in contact with WVA&K to experience the significance of making a difference in the lives of others and contribute financial resources to WVA&K.

  • Manages key accounts from creation, day to day correspondence up to complete follow-up of any donation activity.

  • Become an active participant in the NGO and marketing community in Albania.

  • Lead, Encourage, Support, Coach and Mentor the team ensuring capacity is built and appropriate results are achieved. Coaching the team on WVI values, vision, mission and working principles as efficient and best as possible in the framework of WVA&K mission and National Strategy.

  • Support professional and personal development of staff through on-the-job coaching, identification of learning and training needs and opportunities.


  • Master Degree in Marketing, Business or Management Business development, accounts management, marketing and social marketing.

  • Ability to think strategically and visualize the bigger picture.

  • Pro-active, solution oriented.

  • Ability and vision to bring WVA&K corporate fundraising to a new level.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to persuade network and negotiate effectively at senior levels.

  • Outstanding in verbal & written presentation skills.

  • Proficient in English – writing and speaking.

  • Outstanding in listening and communication skills with a strong ability in influencing inside and outside the organization.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages with multiple different priorities

  • Ability to build network and engage at strategic level with marketing agencies and corporations in Albania.

  • At least 5 years in marketing management experience or related fields.

  • Significant business experience within Sales, Marketing or/ and significant social marketing experience.

  • Experience in staff managing, monitoring and developing.

  • Good knowledge of the NGO sector

  • Willingness to travel – in country and abroad for trainings, 40 % of labor time.
