Job Title

Monitoring & Evaluation Officer – Community WASH Improvement Project

Position Reports To

Project Manager- Community WASH Improvement Project

Position Location

Gowainghat, Sylhet, Bangladesh

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for leading monitoring and evaluation, reporting and documentation of the project as per PDD, DIP, M & E Plan and donor requirements and guideline of the project.

S/He is also responsible to develop monitoring system for the project and build capacity of various stakeholder including project staff, facilitator and community groups using tools for quantitative and qualitative data collection.

S/He will be preparing and practicing reporting tool for consolidating monthly/ timely program quantitative reports, generating analysis of consolidated data and making recommendations for the project management.

S/He is responsible for setting up Indicator Tracking Table-ITT and regularly updating it for tracking project plan and achievement. Ensure qualitative periodic reports and documentation of good practices for sharing knowledge and project success.

Key Objectives of the Position

  • Establish project based Monitoring System and framework

  • Build DME Capacities of project team on data collection process, monitoring tools, methodology and reporting system

  • Ensure quality of project activities by introducing & adopting appropriate monitoring & supervision system & tools;

  • Gather data and verify the validity & consistency of data; keeping project in track

  • Ensure periodic qualitative and quantitative reports in timely manner;

  • Documentation of project reports on monitoring, evaluation, researchers’/study and better practices;

  • Assist to ensure project accountability to different stakeholders

  • M &E plan is functioning aligning with the project objectives

  • A well plan is in place for baseline survey/assessment, study and project evaluation.

  • ToR, Questionnaires / Tools, methodology & guideline developed for assessment, survey, study and evaluation

  • Interviewers / staffs oriented on methodologies, tools /technique of data collection

  • Data collection, analysis, compilation, report generation and result sharing with project team and other stakeholder.

  • Collect data from the partners and prepare a compile report and send it to Project Manager at a regular basis

Smooth running and maintaining quality of the program

Person Specification

Education

Bachelor degree in any discipline preferably in statistics or social science.

Essential

Masters in any discipline, preferably in statistics or social science.

Must have knowledge and skills on participatory Monitoring and Evaluation system
