PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Nutrition Advisor for Refugee Response will play a significant role in implementing emergency nutrition strategy and operational plans, and promoting high quality emergency nutrition programming. The Advisor will work closely with other Sector Leads in Refugee Response to provide technical leadership in innovation, quality oversight and capacity building, facilitation of program learning and support to UN Cluster and country-level coordination and advocacy efforts.
Provide overall guidance and leadership to implement Women, Adolescent and Young Child Space (WAYCS) project model to ensure that the Child Wellbeing outcomes (CWBO) and targets are considered.
Build capacity of partner’s staff and maintain professional relation to achieve planned activities.
Keep close contact with other sectors including protection, food security and livelihoods, Water and Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) etc.
Coordinate and maintain a good working relationship with local Ministry of Health & Family Welfare authorities, along with other stakeholders.
Make sure the standard quality implementation of health and nutrition program as per implementation guidelines.
Prepare training manual and facilitate training session.
Prepare social behavior change communication materials.
Ensure appropriate reporting system is in place.
Collect, compile, analyze and prepare monthly report and submit to Operation Director.
Actively engage in nutrition cluster and other relevant technical working. groups, will control the budget and prepare reports and work collaboratively with sectors as and when necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must have at least a Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant field.
At least 5 years of practical experience in humanitarian related work.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership, people management, coaching, mentoring, and team building skills.
Strong problem identification, analytical and solving skills.
Strong competency in proposal & report writing, monitoring and budgeting skills.
Experience working with communities and local governments, INGOs, donors and other key internal and external stakeholders.

Travel: 20 % Domestic/international travel may be required.
