Section I – JOB DESCRIPTION
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide project management leadership in the area covered by result 1 of the project related strengthening food security through support to inputs, livestock, income generating activities, cash transfer, saving and loans activities and emergency support by ensuring that project resources are used as per WV policies, donor standards and procedures to attain quality program performance as guided by project documents
End Results Expected
Lead and supervise the development, planning, implementation and monitoring of the result 1 of EU Tubeho Neza project in line with project documents (Project logframe, budget, proposal narrative,…)
The project result 1 progress is aligned to the set plans and established targets are met; process of monitoring, evaluation and reporting are undertaken systematically.
Coordinate the preparation of annual implementation plans, annual budget, targets and monitoring plan, procurement plan and ensure appropriate and timely implementation of the project as stated in the project planning documents to ensure project quality and deliverables in the area covered by result 1.
The project targets and plans are sets and reviewed annually, project implemented and target met within the set timeline.
Enforce stewardship and accountability by ensuring that resources are efficiently and effectively utilized within its area of responsibility of the project for the intended purpose
The budget implementation is aligned to the project expected results with in mind the achievement of the planned target with best value on money.
Provide technical and strategic direction in relation to the project components, related to result 1
The project result 1 planning and review processes receive strategic support and guidance to ensure quality and timely delivery in all the components.
Ensure that all staff under its supervision are informed of all project related plans and their participation in alignment through monthly, quarterly and annual review process
Project plans related to result 1are disseminated among staff implementing Food Security project component
Facilitate community and staff capacity building, recruitment project staff & skills development and performance management through coaching and mentoring of the team under its supervision, performance agreement and appraisal
Training needs and plans for project staff implementing result 1 are developed and implemented; performance agreement and appraisal done at annual basis with mid-year review.
Build networking relationships with local and provincial authorities (Province and Communal Administration), Technical Departments (DPAE, ISABU, ONCCS, MINAGRIE, etc…), project donors, partners and stakeholders; Private Sector Actors linked to the project and develop partnership contract/MoU where appropriate.
Engagement with project relevant stakeholders and partners effective allows building implementation.
Prepare quality and timely project required reports (monthly, semi –annual, annual and end of projects progress report if applicable).
Required reports are produced within agreed timeline with line manager in coherence with donor template and guidance. Case study and/or Experience Capitalization produced at annually basis; project results are disseminated within and outside.
Ensure accurate data and document related to result 1 implementation are systematically collected and recorded for evidence based reporting.
Project monitoring data for result 2 outputs and activities are systematically collected and recorded;

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Preferred: 3 years of lead and coordination experience in community development project/program focusing on Linking Relief and Development focusing on Nutrition Sensitive Productions
Complete Travel and/or Work Environment statements if applicable.
