Project Coordinator for Child Protection and Child Voice

World Vision is an international Christian Humanitarian Organization working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation and seek justice. Our Cambodia Office is seeking for one (01) qualified Cambodian candidate to fill in the position below:

Position: Project Coordinator for Child Protection and Child Voice

Location: Phnom Penh

Salary & Benefit: Competitive and negotiable depends on your experience and qualifications

I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The purpose of the role is to strengthen the child protection mechanism and concept, and to increase community – led, accountability and good governance for child protection in urban citywide.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Promote and revise plan to reflect and learn from the community with UVI team.

  2. Collaborate with Child Safe Organization (CSO) Unit and Advocacy department to build capacity of UVI’s staffs related to child protection and advocacy (SA4CP, International Children Day).

  3. Prepare and revise annual budgets to response the community with accountability.

  4. Ensure that the projects are reaching high quality of performance through coordinating implementing of UVI Citywide Approach.

  5. Ensure ongoing learning on good practices of child protection & sectoral standards relevant to the assigned projects.

  6. Promote teamwork among UVI team in learning, training and spiritual nurture.

  7. Enhance a positive identity of WV Cambodia including being a witness.

  8. To build a strong collaborative network among governance, partners and community.

III. REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelors degree in Law, Psychology, social work, project management or other related field .

  2. At least 2 years of experience in child protection and/or child abuse, community mobilization and local level advocacy.

  3. Understanding of the child protection issues/incidents and their root causes across the city.

  4. Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and report writing.

  5. Experience in coordination and provide training social work or community work to communities.

  6. Displays a positive and supportive attitude toward the Organization
