Position: Technical Programme Officer for Youth

Location: Banteay Meanchey& Siem Reap (zone)

I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Technical Programme Officer for Youth is being a new and critical in the national roll out of World Vision International-Cambodia which will directly work with over 4000 youth (and indirectly with up to 16000 youth). This position provides oversight and guidance to 8 Area Programs (districts) to implement the program for in the adaptation and implementation of Youth technical programme(TP) in collaboration with TP Manager for Youth and in coordination with technical team, M&E quality assurance and other relevant units.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversight and guidance of the Adaptation and implementation of Youth technical programme (TP) following the TP quality standards and requirements.

  2. Advocacy and external engagement positioning WVI-C as leading organization technical programme at zonal level.

  3. Capacity building for Area Programme (AP) technical staff in alignment with the Youth TP.

  4. Involve in the process of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

III. REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor Degree in a Development, Education, or Social Science-related field

  2. At least 2 years of experience working with youth programmes, for example in the following areas: youth life skills, youth advocacy, youth leadership, youth economic resilience, youth sports

  3. Experience delivering youth life skills curriculum

  4. Strong understanding of program implementation (including log frames and M&E frameworks) Skill in training and coaching youth and staffing working directly with youth.

  5. Excellent communication skills in Khmer and English (written and verbal)

  6. Willingness to travel up to >60-75% of the time within the Zone target APs.
