Our Cambodia Office is seeking for one (01) qualified candidate to fill in the position below:
Position: Technical Specialist for Safeguarding
Location: National Office, Phnom Penh
Salary & Benefit: 970 USD – 1212 USD
I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The position provides oversight and coordination for the development, implementation and mainstreaming of the World Vision International-Cambodia (WVI-C)Safeguarding policy and standards, ensuring WVI-C is compliant with WVI and Royal Government Cambodia expectations, and living out World Vision’s call to see children and vulnerable adults protected from harm and all forms of violence.
The role will coordinate and lead capacity building to relevant unit and department staffs to ensure Safeguarding Policy are integrated and mainstreamed into practices and implementation across sectors and teams with effective monitoring mechanism and system.
The role will support WVI-C Safeguarding Focal Point on NO representation with Global Centre Safeguarding Team, completion of NO Annual Safeguarding Update Report, and support in NO responses to L1, L2 and L3 incidents, including convening and working with SLT members.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure WVI-C Safeguarding policy and standards are in place and up to date, including mainstreaming across National Office
Ensure Safeguarding monitoring and reporting completed accurately and timely
Ensure National Office staff and WV affiliates in Cambodia are trained on safeguarding and mechanisms for ensuring compliance are in place
Ensure Regional and AP Safeguarding Focal Points are capacity built to effectively implement Safeguarding Policy
Technical representation and engagement in the sector
III. REQUIREMENTS:
World Vision Cambodia requires offered candidates to produce Local Police Clearance Certificate prior to date of joining in the organization.
University degree in Law, Psychology, social work or other relevant social science course
Understanding of WV’s child wellbeing outcomes, child –focused programming , and special priority for the most vulnerable children
Proven leadership ability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including in English)
Excellent relational skills, especially in a cross-cultural environment.
Ability to analyse and solve problems, innovate, persuade, network and negotiate
Ability to influence, network and collaborate with national level government, NGO and UN Agency child protection peers.
Ability to develop and lead capacity building and training strategy for safeguarding
Strong understanding of latest developments, research and trends in the field of child protection, particularly in country context
At least 3 years of experience in child protection or safeguarding
Able to work under pressure
