Position: Economic Development Technical Specialist for Micro Franchised Agriculture Service Expanded Phase 2 (MASE2)
Location: Phnom Penh
Salary & Benefit Package: Competitive and negotiable
I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This position is to lead technical capacity of Micro-franchised Agricultural Service Expansion project on agriculture production especially vegetables and market linkages, integrating a graduation approach that supports poor households to increase their production and incomes through a micro-franchised Farm Business Advisor model with iDE/Lors Thmey.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead application of graduation approach to support poor households in increasing production and productivity through technical oversight of consumption supports, building confidence, asset transfer, access to micro credit, support diversified livelihood activities, and access to public services including safety net.
Lead market research and establish market linkages with private sector to build inclusive market system working for poor farmers.
Coordinate and provide capacity building to the project team, including Project Coordinators and Team Leaders, to ensure effective implementation that aligns with technical strategies and policies of national office, support office and donor.
Provide technical support to the project in design, monitoring and evaluation
Bachelor degree on economic development sector or any other relevant field.
At least 3 years experiences in Value Chain development, private sector development or market linkages/facilitation, and Graduation Approach is an additional advantage.
Experience in implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing
Proven professional experience that supports success of private sector, farmer production and businesses
Excellent interpersonal, representational, advocacy and networking skills with cross cultural sensitivity.
Effective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write fluently in English
