Position: Technical Specialist for Gender for Micro Franchised Agriculture Service Expanded Phase 2 (MASE2)
Location: Phnom Penh
Salary & Benefit Package: 970 USD - 1,212 USD
I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This position will guide and support gender mainstreaming across the design and implementation of this project to ensure gender equitable outcomes for participating male and female smallholders farmers. Provision of quality analysis and substantive inputs Senior Project Manager.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate an understanding of gender equality and equity, gender integration, and engaging men as agents of change and women’s empowerment.
Provide leadership and technical support to guide design and implementation of gender strategy and gender interventions at the project level.
Coordinate with key project staff, including ADP managers and technical specialists, iDE and Lors Thmey to ensure the implementation of the project’s gender strategy and gender-related activities.
Support project M&E Officer to design and implement gender and disability inclusive and sensitive monitoring and evaluation framework and approach and ensure gender-related learning informs ongoing planning
In coordination with key project staff, interpret gender-related results and present findings, recommendations, lessons learned, and promising practices to colleagues to further ongoing project learning
Bachelor of Social work, Management, Agriculture, Rural Development, Economic Development or related field
At least 3 year experiences in working on gender.
Understanding of project cycle management and grant
Demonstrated experience in participating in gender programs
Demonstrated experience in developing and conducting gender training
Experience designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks and approaches for gender inclusive programs
Demonstrated experience in relationship development, supporting/empowering and/or coaching others and networking
Demonstrated experience in community development projects – ideally in economic development and livelihoods.
