Position: Senior Resource Acquisition Specialist (SRAS)
Location: National Office
Salary: 1,280-1,600 USD
I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To provide expertise and leadership in acquiring grant and private non-sponsorship funding, build partnerships with diverse donors and key stakeholders, and strengthen the capacity of sector/project staff in the areas of acquisition, proposal writing/design, and project start-up.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Participating in the development of WVI-C’s Resource Acquisition Strategy, Business Planning, and GAM (Grants Acquisition Management) metrics reporting.
Ensuring adequate support for resource acquisition efforts and lead proposal development process that contribute to successful funded proposals
Leadership and accountability on proposal development for opportunities under $500K.
Coordinate and lead (in some cases) development of donor relationships including internal and external donors
Co-lead the AP (Area Programme/Field Office) Needs Assessment process to develop integrated funding plans to advocate to World Vision support offices and potential donors
Ensure quality handover of winning proposals to operations for project start-up and implementation
III. REQUIREMENTS:
As part of the World Vision Cambodia mandate requirements for new staff, all candidates who are offered job are required to produce Local Police Clearance Certificate prior to date of joining in the organisation. We recommend applying for the certificate upon application submission.
Master’s degree in relevant discipline such as development studies, education, health, management, agriculture
Demonstrated knowledge of grant programming, funding, financial management standards
Demonstrated knowledge of some sectoral programs, development approaches and issues
Strong analytical skill and problem solving abilities
Excellent interpersonal communication skill and an ability to work closely and supportively within team
Strong spoken and written English ability
Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
At least 5 years’ experience in developing and writing program/project proposals
At least 3 years working in a donor relations position, including understanding donor’s priorities, requirements and standards, and presenting the organization to donors in a professional manner in person and in writing)
At least 5 years’ experience working in a multinational working environment and 2 years in management
Able to handle multiple priorities and tasks, while valuing quality and timeliness of work
