Position: Associate Director of Programme Quality & Innovation
Length of Contract: Two years with potential for renewal of contract.

I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Associate Director of Programme Quality & Innovation will provide leadership and results-based management to World Vision’s technical specialist units including the themes of Nutrition, Education and Life Skills, Child Protection and Youth and the supporting sector of Economic Resilience and Livelihoods to maximise the impact of World Vision’s technical programmes in the lives of vulnerable children in Cambodia.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic leadership, support and coordination to technical specialist unitsto ensure technical approaches, technical programmes and technical support to programme implementers contribute to the sustained well-being of children in communities in alignment with WVI-C National Strategy.
Lead and promote external representation, including donor relations such that World Vision Cambodia is seen as a partner of choice of Support Offices, donor and peer agencies for its technical expertise and evidence base of child well-being impact.
Work with the WVI-C Advocacy Technical Lead, ensuring WVI-C’s advocacy agenda and actions at the national and local levels result in improved outcomes for children’s nutrition, education and protection.
Provide additional management responsibilities to one of the technical specialist units within the portfolio.
Master’s Degree in international development or relevant social science, or similar disciplines
Programming knowledge of a specific WV ministry sector
Proven leadership ability, including demonstrated facilitation and collaboration skills
Strong strategic and operational planning skills and ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks
Excellent relational skills, especially in a cross-cultural environment.
Fluency in English required, knowledge of the Khmer language an asset, or willingness to learn it
At least 5 years programme management experience in an international development organization
