*Preferred location: San Jose; Costa Rica. Other locations to be determined by home country of successfuly candidate in the Philippines, Malaysia, Mexico or Romania where WVI is registered to operate.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The purpose of this position is to configure and launch a new Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. Additionally, this role will be responsible for determining which content has high reuse value for the World Vision Partnership and highlighting this content to World Vision staff. Now that a new system has been selected, this role will be responsible for assisting with the executing the configuration of the system, the migration of assets from old systems to the new system, the curation and organization of existing content by retagging assets as needed, the training of staff on how to use the new system, and the overall change management process after launch.
This role will help to ensure that high value content is visible within the system and easy for staff to access and publish in alignment with the needs of the World Vision Partnership. This will include the curation of existing content, grouping content from each office in sub-libraries, organizing content into relevant collections, and pushing high value content out to World Vision staff through appropriate channels.
After the new system has launched, this role will help to ensure top quality service for internal customers. This will include assisting with trainings for staff on how to use the new system. Ultimately, this role will serve as an “expert guide” to the system helping to quickly direct users toward content relevant to their needs.
This role will work alongside the Content Systems Lead and the Content Librarian in asset management, including applying tags and captions, cataloguing and qualitative review of photo, video, audio and text resources within the Digital Asset Management System. This position will also assist with technical tasks whenever required including leveraging the system’s APIs to facilitate migration processes.
The overarching purpose of the Global Content team within Global Marketing and Resource Development is to present and distribute strategic content that is easily accessible through current and emerging audience engagement platforms.
Assist with the configuration of the new Digital Asset Management system to align with World Vision’s needs. Assist with the migration of assets from the old systems to the new systems.
Identify high value content that can be readily reused and highlight these materials to ensure easy discovery and publishing by staff that use the system.
Prepare to launch new system by creating training resources and preparing training materials for staff. After launch, continue to drive change management to ensure the new system is adopted.
Organize assets and re-tag assets as required to improve searchability. Edit, catalogue, tag and upload new digital assets received from participating offices and contacts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, information science, computer sciences, library science, multi media studies, or other relevant discipline.
Fluency in written and verbal English.
Excellent computer skills, including MS Office suite, intranet and internet, and database applications.
Demonstrated ability in photo and video curation; able to identify compelling / powerful images, videos and other narratives.
One - two years of business experience working with digital libraries or content management systems, preferably in non-profit organization.
Experience in working with all types of multimedia formats.
Demonstrated experience in cataloging, indexing and use of digital library / archive metadata standards.
Effective in written and verbal communication in English.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of creating, retouching, optimizing and delivering imagery across multiple channels.
Prior experience with World Vision will be a significant advantage.
Keen cross-cultural understanding; ability to collaborate across teams and time zones.
The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
