Regional Sponsorship Coordinator
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Provide strategic leadership to national offices in the LAC Region to ensure that Sponsorship is integrated within national strategies, organizational and programmatic processes that contribute to the well-being of children, ensuring their inclusion and participation in transformational development activities enabling Sponsor and child value proposition and promise delivery.
Leadership, Representation and Coordination
Communicates a compelling vision for sponsorship as a transformational relationship and provides leadership to promote the integration of sponsorship and programming for ministry impact.
To coordinate processes of setting sponsorship priorities, contextualization and facilitate access of Sponsorship annually budgeting and planning guidance to NOs to assure attainment of key sponsorship priorities on budget on time and with quality.
Lead the regional learning community of Sponsorship and promote its link with other CoPs related to CWB, addressing issues of common interest, generating mutual support, participation and active debate.
Coordinates the implementation of relevant Partnership projects/initiatives and leads temporarily related staff as needed.
To promote and support sponsorship innovation in the LAC Region, leading the engagement of GC and SO staff as needed and coordinating appropriate actions and negotiating access to technical and financial resources for NO’s,
Participate and actively contribute in Partnership forums, working groups and networks as deemed necessary by regional leadership.
Contribute with Programming Effectiveness team to conduct enhancements plans and/or business process reviews in NO´s classified as priority by the regional leadership and/or where specific challenges have been identified with respect to sponsorship performance.
Contribute to organization wide communication and change management processes to support implementation of regional sponsorship, Programming Effectiveness or other as part of broader WV strategy communication and change management plan.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Management Support
Guides and monitors NO´s compliance of quality Supporter Engagement products (improved APRs, CC, Community and Child videos and photos), mediating for exceptions in agreed targets according to NO´s needs and capacity.
To Monitor NO´s compliance to sponsorship indicators (SOI) established in GNOD, generating reports to alert regional and national leadership about tendencies and possible risks to take appropriate management actions.
To monitor and analyze NO´s RC data loaded and updated in H3, generating reports with tendencies and alerting regional and national leadership about the status of RC well-being and possible risks to inform programming decision making at regional, national and local level.
Coordinates implementation of Sponsorship in Programming as an integrated part of LEAP 3.0 and community engagement on Sponsorship (CESP), monitoring that sponsorship essentiales are being applied in the programmatic intervention in NO’s.
Identifies and shares sponsorship promising practices and lessons learnt from audits, researches, implementation of CPM´s as well as other M&E and programming processes.
Coordinates sponsorship in emergencies technical guidance in collaboration with relevant RO and NO HEA, Communications and Sponsorship leads including exception approvals with GC Director for Sponsorship Field Support and Services.
Core Competencies and Capacity Building
Coordinate access and/or provide technical advisory to NO´s to ensure accountability for sponsorship minimum programming standards and service operations KPI´s performance timely and with quality, in alignment with Partnership policies and standards.
Based on need and demand from NO’s, to coordinate access to technical support to strengthen capabilities towards using Horizon mobile capability to perform sponsorship in programming and service operations.
Collaborate with NO’s providing advice and support in the recruitment and orientation of sponsorship managers, where requested to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.
Proactively engage with key stakeholders including the Regional QA Director, GC Director for Sponsorship and other technical specialists to celebrate progress and enlist support to address sponsorship challenges within the region.
Participate and contributes in the development of capacity building resources for sponsorship globally and develop and coordinate the implementation of regional capacity building plans informed by regional sponsorship priorities and capacity assessment.
To coordinate and facilitate access to sponsorship and programming resources as well as appropriate learning and support opportunities to NO’s. These may include WVcentral, ecampus or other organizational opportunities or sites.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
-A degree in Social Science related field.
Knowledge and skills
-Strong Christian commitment as evidenced by life and character with sensitivity to different contexts.
-Written and verbal fluency in English
-In depth understanding and experience with Sponsorship service operations, business processes and programming at Area Programme, NO and RO levels as well as ability for global level working.
-Demonstrable understanding of child development, protection issues and development programming.
-Strong cross-cultural communication understanding and skills.
-Ability to work productively and efficiently in a continuously evolving, complex and fast pace environment.

Working Environment / Conditions:
-Position may require up to 30-40% of travel per year.
