Regional Finance Analyst

International Role - No - Only National applicants will be considered.

Position will be based anywhere WVI is registered to operate in Asia Pacific.


Driven by our Our Promise 2030 (OP2030) of being Wise Steward, this position contributes to the achievement of effective and efficient financial management in the Regional Offices (ROs) and National Offices (NOs) through primarily providing timely and specialized financial and accounting information, analyses, and insights to ROs and NOs to enable timely improvement actions and right decision makings.

This position also provides capacity building to ROs’ and NOs’ finances in the area of financial analysis and the usage of various tools and software to perform such.


Financial Analyses

Provide regular reports and analyses and interpretation thereof to support the financial management needs of the Regional Finance as well as NO Finance through the usage of various tools and information such as Power BI, OLAP cubes data warehouse, SunSystem, Financial reporting database, PBAS, ProVision, Horizon, advanced Excel templates…etc. These reports and analyses are, but not limited to, below:

  • Audit recommendation implementation status

  • IIMS trends and resolution status

  • ProVision spends detailed analysis

  • Resource allocations vs strategic priorities and/or global core project models

  • Local resources acquisition income and cost

  • Horizon budget data uploads

  • Special multi-dimension, interactive, and multi data sources analyses – example data from OP, SunSystem, and Horizon…to provide trend and value valuable for cost effectiveness measures

  • Comparative analysis across fiscal years or offices

  • Financial statements analyses:

    • Timeliness and completion of reporting

    • Program burn rate for all funding types,

    • Potential unallowable costs in grants

    • Overspendings

    • NO Admin ratios, support cost ratios, yield to programming, yield to community

    • Balance sheet items which include all assets and liabilities aging reports

    • 300 account reconciling items

    • PBAS reconciling items

    • Bank reconciliation statement reconciling items

  • Other ad hoc analyses as requested by Regional Finance Director as well as other stakeholders such as regression and sensitivity analyses

Capacity Building and Knowledge Management

  • Conduct capacity assessment and gap address plans, and lead the capacity building initiatives with other stakeholders at National/ Regional Office in the area of financial analysis techniques and tools.

  • Share lesson learnt as well as best practices from NOs in the Region as well as from other Regions or offices in the Partnership to NOs related to analysis reporting

  • Contribute to the Partnership’s development of effective and efficient tools and techniques for meaningful information provision.

  • Support the development of effective financial analyses tools and processes in the National Offices.

  • Act as regional finance point person to provide inputs into Global Finance CoP site.


  • Implement special projects as requested by Regional Finance Director (RFD)

  • Attend and participate in devotional meetings

  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the RFD


  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting

  • 3 years experiences with financial analysis tool development and performance using complex data and techniques

  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and cross cultural skills

  • Track record of successful training provision to other in the area of financial analysis,

  • Very good understanding of WV FM standards and systems such as Sun6, Support Cost allocation, Grants Management, ProVision, Horizon, GEMS, etc...

  • Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Power BI, Word, Excel, OLAP and PowerPoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Very good written and oral communication skills

  • At least 3 years experiences in finance & accounting, and grant financial management

  • Demonstrated collaboration skills


  • Proven ability and pro-activity to manage competing priorities

  • Able to solve complex problems and to exercise independent judgment

  • Able to work in a cross-cultural environment with a multi-national staff
