Position: Economic Resilience and Livelihood Technical Specialist (Graduation Approach)

Location: Phnom Penh

Salary & Benefit Package: USD 848 – USD 1,060 (dependent on professional experience and qualifications)

I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Technical Specialist provides leadership and support to WVC staff and ensuring development of a strong technical approach to programming and quality implementation, resulting in improved child well-being outcomes.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Work with the Technical Manager to take a leading role in development and review of country-wide sector strategies through Technical or Supporting Approaches and Technical Programs.

  2. Provide leadership in establishing strong technical capacity in technical projects, ensuring design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation that are aligned with Technical or Supporting Approach and Technical Programs.

  3. Collaborate with other sectors and teams (DME, sponsorship, etc) to ensure mainstreaming and integration of technical or supporting area.

  4. Represent WVC in strategic technical networks that enable WV to learn from industry good practice, contribute to shaping national thinking and approaches and increase WV influence and advocacy.

III. REQUIREMENTS

  1. Degree in a Development-related field and/or Management studies.

  2. At least 3 years’ experience working in a technical related project, development organization or network or local community context

  3. Experience interacting with government and/or technical working groups at a high level.

  4. Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and to work gracefully under pressure.

  5. Understanding of development programming.

  6. Working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

  7. Effective communication and inter personal skills including working knowledge of English
