Position: Technical Specialist on Local Value Chain Development (LVCD)

Location: Phnom Penh

Salary & Benefit Package: USD 970 – USD 1,212 per month dependent on your experience and qualifications

I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Provide professional and technical oversee on Local Value Chain Development for smallholder farmers amongst Agriculture Cooperative (ACs) members to connect ACs to the private sector to contribute to the overall quality of the Cambodia Sustainable Business Development project.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure the quality of Technical Programming/ Equipping to Local level staff: Provide professional and technical advice on LVCD to all relevant staff in the project target areas

  2. Take high accountability with community, support office and donor to maximize the impact of project : Lead on LVCD programing intervention to ensure quality through programmatic guidance, partnership and networking, community ownership

  3. Guide to TL/PC to ensure the implementing activities on LVCD part of the project are fully compliance to Donor, Support Office and National Office policies (e.g. child protection, fraud, etc.).

III. REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor degree on economic development sector or any other relevant field

  2. At least 5 years experiences in Value Chain development, private sector development or market linkages/facilitation

  3. Experiences in implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing

  4. Proven professional experiences that support success of private sector, agriculture cooperative businesses and farmers

  5. Effective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write fluently in English.

  6. Excellent interpersonal, representational, advocacy and networking skills with cross cultural sensitivity.
