Recruitment, Compensation and Benefits - Job Summary

Provide leadership in ensuring the efficient & effective implementation of recruitment and compensation systems and strategies to attract, retain a committed and productive workforce for World Vision Ghana. The People & Culture Manager (P&C Manager) will provide human resources generalist support as the P&C Business Partner to the Head Office to assigned client groups in the head office.

The Package

  • The position is based in Accra.

  • S/He reports to the People and Culture Director.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate the review and preparation of annual and quarterly workforce plans and forecasts to address staffing needs.

  • Provide leadership in the management and supervision of the recruitment processes of all categories of staff.

  • Develop sourcing channels and networks to ensure the right candidate in the right job.

  • Develop and review appropriate selection methods for candidates selection including interview assessments and behavioral interview techniques

  • Ensure that interviews are conducted in a professional manner and selection process is captured accurately

  • Provides guidance and leadership in the development of candidate offers ensuring that World Vision Total Reward Philosophy is represented

  • Monitor changes in the local labor legislation and implements required as needed. Work closely with labor institutions and other relevant bodies to ensure that our labor practices are in alignment with the national employment practices.

  • Ensure that all positions are graded in line with Hay grading system

  • In close coordination with the People and Culture Director, develop and review reward, recognition, and incentive programs to ensure motivation and staff retention.

  • Negotiate and administer all salaries and benefits, for both new hires and existing staff

  • Act as a point of contact for all P&C related issues for the assigned Client groups and provide timely response to matters as arising.

  • Serve as the P&C point person for head office

  • Conduct business P&C monitoring meetings with clients on a monthly basis as needed

  • Develop capacity of the team of regional P&C, line management and other stakeholders in the area of recruitment and selection and provide needs based solutions to their staffing needs

  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best practices are captured and adopted to increase organizational well-being performance.

  • Ensure efficient management of documentation relating to hiring and onboarding of staff

Education / Work Experience / Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or related field.

  • Minimum of 5+yrs in HR Management experience and at least 2 years in recruitment, compensation & benefits.

  • Certification in job grading system required.

  • Knowledge of Hay grading system preferred.

  • Knowledge in Behavioral interview techniques.

  • MBA or MA in Management or related field.

  • Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.

  • Attend and participate and lead in daily devotions and other Spiritual formation forums.
