Help Desk Assistant

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To assist team leaders in effectively co-ordinate Food Cash & E-Voucher implementation in the Refugees camps by collecting updated data and registration request ensuring compliance to Donor and World Vision requirements /guidelines

The holder of the position should communicate World Vision’s ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementation

  • Registering all the complaints related to Data updating , registration to benefit from the food project that the refugees will raised

  • Answer refugees questions related to the feedback about the updated data or registration that may have,

  • Assist team leaders during the distribution to collect all the complaints related to Data updating and registration requests to benefit from the food project.

  • Collecting beneficiaries’ complaints related to targeting activities by registering their details to a special UNHCR data platform.

  • Ensure dealing with the data compliance to Humanitarian Accountability standards.

Resource Management

  • Managing the data and WV recourse in a very professional and confidential way.

  • Using the UNHCR platform in a proper way.

Coordination and Collaboration

  • Closely coordination with other team members at the distribution site

  • Closely coordination with MEAL team to ensure collecting the updates or registration of any special cases not able to visit the distribution site.

  • Participate in regular trainings conducted by WFP and UNHCR.

  • Closely coordination with WFP and UNHCR data person during uploading the data.

Capacity Development

  • Attending timely trainings and evaluation events to build their capacities.

Other Roles

  • Perform any other duties as required by the team leader, project Coordinator or his/her designee.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Admiration or any other related qualification.

  • Previous experience in a related field.

  • Experience in Food Assistance projects.

  • Strong communication skills Verbal and written English/Arabic and Kurdish.

  • Report writing skills and computer knowledge.

  • Well-developed stakeholder networking skills.

  • Knowledge of commodities & logistics operations, specifically those that relate to distributions, handling, reporting, tracking, monitoring etc.

  • Ability to work with many Data platform and data sheets

  • Stays open to internal and external feedback

  • Ability to work under minimum supervision

  • Good knowledge and experience of how to work under pressure.

  • Strong Computer knowledge

Work Environment

Complete Travel and/or Work Environment statements if applicable.

  • Office environment: typical field based

  • Travel: Domestic travel is required.

  • On call: During normal working hours unless there is an emergency
