Community Facilitator


Position Title: Community Facilitator


This position focuses on the activities regarding solar energy, waste water reuse for agricultural proposes which will enhance the financial resilience of households by reducing utility costs. The Community facilitator is expected to facilitate effectively and efficiently the implementation of Nour project to ensure that communities are empowered for sustainable benefits throughout the use of renewable energy and resources as per World Vision national policies and procedures.

Major Responsibilities:


  • Monitoring of the Project activities on renewable energy implemented by WV Jordan or through implementing partner. Making sure that project requirements are met. Meeting beneficiaries to get their feedback about the project.


  • Conduct assessments of households and beneficiaries for the suitability of the interventions under the supervision of project coordinator.

Awareness sessions

  • Prepare and conduct awareness sessions and presentation of materials for beneficiaries on Basic Renewable energy and resources, energy efficiency and water conservation methods under supervision of renewable energy coordinator.

Reporting and documentation

  • Prepare Daily progress reports outlining project field activities.

Other Duties

  • Identify local level partners, support and facilitate in the implementation of planned activities.

  • Facilitate the Liaison with local CBO’s and communities on project implementation and supervision.

  • Perform Other duties as required


University degree in Social Science, Natural Resources Management, Sociology, Planning, Community Development, Psychology or related fields.


  • Experience in community facilitation and mobilization at least 1 year

  • 1 year experience in NGO work

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of energy conservation, renewable energy and environmental issues

  • Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written).

  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills

  • Ability to interact with local partner, and beneficiaries.

  • Ability to conduct training for beneficiaries

  • Commitment to World Vision Core values and mission statement.

  • Thorough knowledge of MS office and Lotus Notes

  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible world view, emotional maturity and physical stamina.

  • Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local culture context.

  • Agreement with World Vision’s Christian ethos.

  • Knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct, understands other international development guidelines.
