Position Title: Project Assistant
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
World Vision requires a project assistant to support the delivery of a 12month program providing health and protection programming in South Syria, working with a local implementing partner.
Objective 1: Supervise the Project Planning and implementation
Support the programme manager with carefully developed and updated Plans.
Provide programming and administrative support to the Project Manager and all project staff and partners.
Follow project budget management and updates on matching project implementation with Budget expenses
Assist in project and resources management including logistics, overseeing contractual procedures and compliance, tracking project expenditure.
Liaise with the project partners to arrange for logistic matters.
Draft agreements with partner institutions and external consultants and the deliverables
Arrange all programme appointments and maintain programme and project background information, calendar, log, routine correspondence and facilitate follow-up action and deadlines.
Translate project materials when deemed necessary.
Perform other related tasks/ assignments as assigned by the supervisor.
Objective 2: Monitor, Evaluate and Report on Project results
Oversee performance of partner and activity implementation.
Maintain project records, as well as financial records and monitoring system records: Electronically and hard copies on files / folders
Monitor and evaluate the implementation of activities to ensure they are completed according to plan and in a timely and effective manner, giving particular attention to quality aspects.
Assist with the preparation of status and progress reports by providing information such as financial and other inputs.
Maintain and update databases and records on programming activities for the programme monitoring and evaluation purposes.
Conduct data entry on the verification documents for the program.
Documenting in a timely manner, all progress challenges, and learning for future implementation
Objective 3: Strengthen Partnership and Networking
Build and maintain effective relationships with the team, colleagues, and partners.

Support field staff in the timely implementation of activities at the field level.
Education:Bachelor degree in Health, Psychology, Sociology or related field
Experience in the field of humanitarian assistance is an asset.
Relevant experience of at least 2 years with reputable institution, national or international NGO
Excellent English and Arabic communication skills (both oral and written)
Knowledge & Skills:
Familiar with core principles of Children’s Rights, Child Protection, Participation, and ‘Do No Harm.’
Knowledge of and adherence to the Child Protection, Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct
Interest in areas of Protection; background of dealing with children & young people.
Working knowledge of the logical framework approach.
