Logistics Officer


Position Title: Logistics Officer

Propose of the position:

The position is responsible for the execution and reporting of all logistics activities to effectively support the overall Logistic needs of the National Office

Major Responsibilities:

Ensure that all goods, work and services are received, distributed and recorded as per the established WV receipt guidelines

  1. Validate all supplier waybills (receipts) against the corresponding WV PO to ensure commodities are of the correct items, specifications, quantities and quality as manifested on the purchase order.

  2. Track, coordinate and manage all receipts at the NO to the appropriate project and/or programs to include all supporting documentation of shipment and receipt

  3. Issue goods received notes for all receipts to include any over, short or damages

  4. Communicate any receipt discrepancies to procurement officer with back up pictures and written documentation

  5. Perform quality sampling of receipts up to 10% of the receipt

Validation and vetting of potential supplier’s physical locations and materials

Verification of suppliers shipments prior to the supplier loading to insure the accuracy and quality of the shipment

Perform other duties to support the SCM department as needed including Procurement and other tasks as needed


Technical diploma or university degree preferably in Industrial Engineering, Logistics science


3-5 years Logistics and/or supply chain experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of Logistics and supply chain processes

  • Good command of Arabic and English

  • Computer literate mainly with MSOffice software package Good communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships

  • Ability to foster a good team spirit

  • Ability to transmit information correctly with accountability and maintain confidentiality
