Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

Position Title: Infrastructure Engineer


To provide technical knowledge, skills and quality in infrastructure and to have extensive experiences in school construction and rehabilitation.

Major Responsibilities:

Program management and evaluation

  • Liaison with local contractors/partners and communities on project implementation

  • Prepare Daily progress reports outlining project activities

  • Work closely with procurement department for ordering key supplies.


  1. Represent World Vision in meetings on request of the infrastructure coordinator with school principals and other relevant stakeholders.

Advocacy and Communication

  1. Coordinate with Communication in publishing manual, guideline and success stories in school’s construction and the impact of World Vision intervention inside these schools and centers

Financial and Procurement Management

  1. Raise PRs and prepare other procurement related documents for tendering process on timely and accurate manner and within the allocated budget.

  2. Prepare payment certificates and other relevant documentation within time frame and budget.

  3. To monitor construction expenses according to bill of quantity, project budget and World Vision financial procedure.

  4. Coordinate the processing of required documents with Infrastructure Coordinator and proceed after his final review and further processing.

Senior Management Leadership

  1. To assist infrastructure coordinator in situation and program updates

Human Resource Management

  1. To identify the capacity of infrastructures contractors

Spiritual Leadership

  1. Exhibit spiritual maturity, integrity and a dynamic personal sense of life calling

Other Duties

  • Evaluate the construction result.

Education:University degree in Civil engineering, infrastructure engineering or related fields


  • Experience in construction at least 1 year

  • Preferably experience in NGO work

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Construction experiences and skills

  • Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written).

  • Experience in Schools construction

  • Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD .

  • Commitment to World Vision Core values and mission statement.

  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible world view, emotional maturity and physical stamina.

  • Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local culture context.

  • Agreement with World Vision’s Christian ethos.

  • Knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct, understands other international development guidelines.
