Monitoring &Evaluation and Knowledge Management Coordinator

Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Provide support to Mali Integrated WASH program for planning and monitoring of interventions, data collection and impact reporting as well as learning process and knowledge management. In collaboration with the Horizon GIS and database specialist, he will ensure data collection for regular monitoring and for evaluation, data analysis and uploading into Horizon GIS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure, in collaboration with programs effectiveness Department that all assessments, baseline measurements, and evaluation exercises related to WASH are done properly for quality assurance.

  • Ensure regular monitoring of activities, outputs and outcomes related to the WASH program, using smartphones when necessary, and report appropriately to facilitate decision making around WASH project implementation.

  • Support project managers in writing and reviewing and improving quality and timely monthly, quarterly, bi–annual and annual project narrative WASH reports due to various donors.

  • In collaboration with the communications department and project managers, ensure that success and impact stories related to WASH interventions are collected and reported adequately.

  • Coordinate learning and knowledge management processes and ensure lessons learned are well documented and shared inside of World Vision, ensuring the promotion of innovative approaches in WASH interventions.

  • Ensure that audit recommendations are timely responded to, fully implemented and progress is reported quarterly.

  • Perform others duties as required and asked by the manager or any of leadership team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Educational level required: Diploma (at least BAC + 4) in statistics, communication, M&E, Water, Sanitation or any related field.

  • Technical Training qualifications required: Professional technical skill desired (certification).

  • Experience: 3 years in collect , analyze, compile and report data.

Technical Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have IT skills (be computer literate and familiar with android smartphones).

  • Computers skills.

  • Monitoring, reporting and proposal writing skills.

  • Driving skills.

  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Must be able to travel, interact and communicate easily with community members.

  • Must be fluent in French and English. Bambara and any other local languages preferred.

  • Must be proactive with a high level of initiative, innovation, drive and a strong team player with interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to travel for periods of up to 2 week at a time.

  • Must be able to operate in the field during both the dry and rainy season.

Working Environment/Travel:

  • Office-based with travel to the field.
