Planning & coordination of field activities
Under guidance from the Area Manager and the technical Specialist, support the planning and coordinate the implementation of the Child Protection Project activities, ensuring deliverables and targets are met.
Ensure procurement requests are presented on a timely basis to facilitate timely implementation of field activities, and adhering to both WVI and donor requirements in meeting the project objectives.
Interacting regularly with Area Manager and NO Child Protection sector specialist to seek technical guidance and expertise regarding project related issues.
Responsible to identify convenient locations for undertaking psychosocial support and any other field activities in Akkar.
Assist in recruiting field staff and temporary staff and provide the needed technical support to them in the preparation during the implementation of the project activities.
Monitor the implementation and progress of the project(s) according to approved stated objectives, plan of action, budget and record progress by working closely with the Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation unit and the project manager.
Participate periodic evaluations of the impact of the project on the
beneficiaries with support from the MEAL unit.
Ensure all Protection and CP cases of are properly referred and documented.
Conduct regular spot checks to all projects in the field to ensure CP standards are in place
Provide and oversee the implementation of Child Protection Standards and Child Safe Organization
Build relationships & capacities of the hosting and beneficiary community
Support technically and financially the selected local NGO to facilitate both Focused PSS activities and Caregivers Support activities.
Engage partner communities and build constructive relationships in order to understand their realities and facilitate the project’s implementation processes effectively
Prepare and organize community based activities including workshops, trainings, and other events in coordination with relevant stakeholders and WVL subject-matter experts
Provide leadership and coaching to the direct reports, including the Caregivers for enhanced service delivery.
Management of the performance of direct reports with continuous feedback to ensure proper performance management.
Develop teamwork among the project staff, ensuring a conducive working atmosphere is created and opportunities provided to share lessons learned, experiences, observations and challenges to inform project management.
Together with the Area Manager, plan and provide opportunities for capacity building to project team in consultation with P&C Department to ensure coordinated technical and personal development.
Ensure compliance with World Vision’s policies
Security management responsibilities:
Responsible for the security of project staff, ensuring that staff abides by WVL security procedures and policies. Report any security breaches as necessary.
Participate in personal safety training as required
Undertake any other duties as shall be delegated by the supervisor.
