Project Officer - Child Protection
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Working under the supervision of the Child Protection Project Manager, the Child Protection Officer is responsible for monitoring the psychosocial support programs implemented by local partners in Beirut and Mount Lebanon. He/she provides direct support, guidance and coaching to partner staff to ensure the quality and timeliness of implementation and project alignment with Child Protection standards and donor requirements. The project officer is also responsible of field level coordination with partners in addition to the administrative and program reporting components of the project.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
University degree in a field related to community development work such as psychology, sociology, education etc. (social workers are highly encouraged to apply)
Minimum of 2 year experience in community development and/or relief work.
University Degree in a field related to community development or social work, a degree in psychology.
Solid Knowledge and skills in Child Protection and Psychological Support programing.
Fist hand knowledge in project design, project management, and project implementation.
Solid communication, interpersonal, negotiation and relationship management skills and experience.
Proven ability to work effectively and sensibly in cross-cultural settings and complex environments.
Basic knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office package.
