Education Technical Officer
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To ensure the quality of the implementation of the Early Childhood Education projects in putting together technical support that is aligned with the Early Childhood Education and Child Protection Technical Programme standards.
ROLE DIMENSION / DESCRIPTION
End Results Expected
Ensure the quality of the implementation of the ECE activities
Projects activities are implemented as per the developed action plan
II- Ensure children’s safety and protection
Children attending the activities are protected and safe
III- Handle tracking, reporting on activities and filing
Progress reports are done and submitted as per the required deadline
4- Perform other duties as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor degree in Education related field, (kindergarten studies, psychology, social work, specialized education (Orto-pedagogue, psychometrician, speech therapist… ) or social animation);
At least 2 years relevant experience.
Knowledge and experience working with children, in a KG setting
Knowledge of safety issues concerning infants and children.
Knowledge of child protection and Psycho-Social support programming
Ability to train and coach staff, on ECE, Facilitation skills, parent's empowerment.
Good command of English/French, both written and oral.
Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
Creative and able to come up, embrace and coordinate innovative thinking, and problem solving skills.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Ability to cope and work under pressure.
Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package.
Willing to travel within Lebanon with a valid driver’s license
Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team.
Ability to work in difficult and high risk situations
75% field work (centre/informal tented settlements) and 25% Office work.
Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally.
Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.
