Technical Coordinator - Education
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The position holder ensures development and implementation of the WV Lebanon National Education Program strategy and Technical Programme in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. The Technical Education Coordinator is responsible of: (1) following-up with all area offices and Project managers to ensure alignment of projects and activities with the technical program and evidenced models, (2) empowering and building capacities of the field staff and (3) representing WVL in all National working groups and with relevant Ministries.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor’s degree in Education related area or Social Sciences and any relevant area.
Creative and able to come up with, embrace and coordinate innovative thinking, partnership building and problem solving skills;
Experience and willingness to take initiatives in all potential Education areas: early childhood education, care and development, basic literacy and numeracy, Remedial Education, Work with youth, etc.
Good analytical and writing skills;
Good interpersonal skills, influencing skills and cross-cultural sensitivity;
Effective in written and oral communication in English;
Able to work on multifunctional tasks in the pressure of time and organizational changes;
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Three to five years of technical expertise in the areas of Education
Experience in capacity building processes, tools and methodologies
Two years or more NGO experience in the humanitarian and development fields respectively
Experience in needs assessment and project design
Valid driving license (in Lebanon) for more than 2 years is required.
Excellent written English, with fluency in speaking Arabic and English
Master’s Degree in the above mentioned areas.
Experience participating in program implementation, monitoring and evaluation processes.
Experience with faith, community based and child focused empowerment programs
The position requires 75% of the time to be office based.
The position requires 25% of travel within the country.
The position requires ability and willingness to continue to function during a crisis, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.
The position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally
