PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of the position is to support the GAM unit in grant management and coordination in the acquisition and management of resources for the World Vision Lebanon office, key areas of activity include:
Supporting the acquisition of grants from public and private donors, particularly with research, program design, donor/stakeholder engagement and partnership establishment.
Supporting grant management and compliance processes to ensure consistent quality and compliance amongst existing public and private grants and quality reporting.
Supporting engagement of donors, stakeholders and partners, national stakeholders and World Vision Lebanon Support Offices in order to position World Vision Lebanon and support grants acquisition and management.
End Results Expected
Support the management of individual grants within the World Vision Lebanon grants portfolio – including private and public funding sources
Key tools and documents are consistently developed by field unit to support the management of new and existing grants. Any support needed is provided to empower them to provide quality leadership in alignment with donor expectations.
Expert advice on contractual aspects of grants management to ensure donor requirements are met and support excellence in grants management.
Timely and relevant projects’ amendment requests are submitted, in line with donors’ requirements and with the needs identified with the field operations unit. With low risk reduction.
Donor reports are, timely, accurate, complete, and compliant.
Solutions to operational issues are identified and addressed within minimal grant management and organizational reputational risk. Donors are provided with formal and informal updates on project progress and remain engaged and support of World Vision’s work.
Support Senior Program Officer in the grants acquisition work of World Vision Lebanon towards achieving the annual income target of the office
Useful and up to date tools are available to support World Vision Lebanon’s resource acquisition activities in order to establish relations between WV and new donors and stakeholders. Inputs are provided on time with a consistent and high quality
Proposal design and development is conducted through a timely and high quality manner, following World Vision best practices. Information and data are accurately channeled through efficient and effective mechanisms and coordination with diverse internal and external stakeholders is well-managed.
Ensured alignment and integration of technical approaches with operational needs contributing to enhance quality design and strategic direction for the organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
University (Bachelor essential, Master’s preferred) degree in a field related to community development work preferably in fields such as sociology, international or political studies, humanitarian law, public health, population studies and others.
Minimum two years experience working in relevant field (report writing, academic research, international non-governmental work)
Knowledge of and familiarity with the Syria Crisis and its impact on Lebanon
Excellent written English, with good command of spoken Arabic and English
Experience in report writing, academic research, public policy, or humanitarian law
Experience in working for non-for-profit organizations and the public sector (or relevant job in the private sector such as risk analyst or compliance officer)

Required willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster

The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically (to diverse field locations) and internationally (as need arises) 30% of the time.
Be prepared to travel to field implementation sites.
This position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.
