Project Assistant - Psychosocial Support Project

To coordinate the implementation of the Psycho Social Support Project in putting together project goals and in leading the implementation of the projects activities in a manner that leaves considerable positive impact on the targeted Refugees children.


  • Close follow up with the outreach team, the animators in implementing the protection project activities with support from the project coordinator

  • Interacting regularly with project coordinator to seek technical guidance and expertise regarding project related issues.

  • Responsible to identify convenient locations for protection project in Beirut for Syrian refugees and Lebanese Hosting Community Children

  • Provide the needed supervision and technical support in the preparation to caregivers during the implementation of the education program

  • Participate when needed in evaluating the impact of the project on the beneficiaries with support from the DME unit.

  • Assist in preparing and organizing community based activities including workshops, trainings, and other events in coordination with relevant stakeholders and WVL.

  • Keep and file records and correspondences related to the project

  • Submit weekly activity reports

  • Carry out public relations activities, which include accompanying foreign visitors and donors to the project (once needed, on occasional basis).

  • Represent World Vision in meetings and trainings when requested and is necessary.

  • Attend and participate in local and international capacity building events as needed.

  • Attend and participate in spiritual nurture events and other organizational events

  • Perform other related tasks as required by the education coordinator.

Safety and Security responsibilities

  • Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture

  • Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager.


  • University degree in a field related to community development work (preferably in a field such as social work, sociology, education etc.).

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in community relief work.

  • Very good command of written and spoken Arabic and English.

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office package.

  • A member of the community or acquainted with Beirut context

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good facilitator and problem solver

  • Ability to work with people from different cultures, and backgrounds and ability to deal with vulnerabilities
