Sponsorship Officer

Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To monitor the quality of the sponsorship in programming implementation in Beirut area while providing necessary support and coaching to the team in terms of message, community involvement, children active participation, monitoring and registration. And to ensure that all sponsorship data are processed on the system in a timely, secure and efficient manner.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Coordinators in preparing contextualizing the sponsorship message and preparing a communication plan which appropriately communicates sponsorship messages

  • Monitor the community understanding of sponsorship and support the team in responding to questions and concerns promptly and sensitively.

  • Support the Coordinators in analyzing risks and challenges to sponsorship operations and preparing appropriate strategies to ensure sponsorship effectiveness in each phase of the programme

  • Monitor the quality of children registered in the programme to ensure that the most vulnerable children are covered.

  • Support the coordinators in Identifying and assessing potential partners for child sponsorship

  • Coordinate with the coordinators on the growth plans within the zone to ensure the agreed RC growth is met.

  • Support the coordinators in preparing the sponsorship operations plan, including the requirements of sponsorship annually.

  • Monitor the quality of presence and child monitoring as per the Sponsorship in programming guidelines and support the team in shifting the ownership of child monitoring to the community.

  • Support the team with capacity building sessions on all sponsorship programme concepts, requirements and initiatives.

  • Provide guidance to the team on how to impact children in fun and meaningful ways and actively engage them while producing sponsorship requirements.

  • Support the Coordinators in planning digital skills session for the children to ensure their active participation in producing Sponsorship 2.0 deliverables.

  • Monitor the quality of the sponsorship message delivered to the community including but not limited to partners, children and their families.

  • Conduct field visits to ensure the quality of sponsorship data gathered by staff and community members

  • Monitor the quality of active participation, monitoring and presence as per the sponsorship standards and as aligned with the sponsorship transformation programe initiative.

  • Assess the impact of the activities implemented and how much they’re aligned with the sponsorship in programming concept.

  • Analyzing reports to highlight potential problems /issues and come up with a mitigation plan in coordination with the coordinators.

  • Review and approve the two annual sponsorship designs of Annual progress report and Christmas card while ensuring the active participation of the children in the process

  • Monitor the quality of all communications between children and sponsors, including the Sponsorship 2.0 deliverables.

  • Monitor the quality standards of sponsorship with respect to child data, child greeting video, photos, activities and child protection.

  • Work closely with sponsorship Operation and Technical specialists on integration, program quality and system requirements

  • Follow up closely with the sponsorship system operators to ensure staff efficiency and effectiveness in handling all children data in a timely manner.

  • Coach the sponsorship operators in monitoring all correspondence and data to inspect for bad quality or child protection breaches.

  • Ensure proper system is in place to track all the data communicated between operators and facilitators.

  • Ensure the availability and processing of sponsorship 2.0 requirements such as community photo, child video greeting and child annual video among other initiatives.

  • Ensuring that the production of the community photo album and stories in coordination with the coordinators and facilitators.

  • Report on the child well being status to area Manager, coordinators and NO specialists upon analyzing the system data.

  • Conduct reflection meeting to share experience and lessons learned

  • Support the coordinators in ensuring that sponsorship visits are conducted as per the sponsorship standard.

  • Be aware of the emergency procedures in a response and ensure that necessary preparedness measures have been implemented

  • Attend and participate in staff spiritual nurture events as well as other organizational events

  • Participate in local CB events as required

  • Perform other related duties as requested

  • Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture

  • Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Technical diploma or university degree preferably in social work or community development fields

  • Knowledge of child protection / child rights

  • Good command of Arabic and English and French

  • Computer literate mainly with MSOffice software package Good communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships

  • Ability to deal with children and people from different cultures and backgrounds

  • Ability to foster a good team spirit

  • Ability to transmit information correctly with accountability and maintain confidentiality

  • Organized, time management
