Project Manager - WASH
Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To provide overall management and supervision of the project
Provide technical expertise on the project’s operations related to the sector in question
Coordinate, manage resources and implement WASH activities, (Follow up on constructing and rehabilitating of water network and promoting good hygiene practices to Refugees and hosting communities in Lebanon)
Lead Project activities, such as Needs assessment, technical designs, coordinating with local partners, private contractors and vendors, monitoring, weekly and monthly progress reporting and weekly planning.
Liaise between the project’s stakeholders and its beneficiaries
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong English and Arabic communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to travel across the country regularly for training, assessment, regular monitoring and evaluation
A high level of diplomacy and networking skills is required.
Strong capacity building and facilitation skills
Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina
Able to use a computer, with word-processing and spreadsheets, (e.g. Microsoft Office)
Experience in managing staff, partners and facilitating capacity building
Essential: Bachelor Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in the following: Mechanical engineering, preferable specialized in water and environment
Essential: 3 to 5 years of experience in an infrastructure project (design, planning, implementation, budgeting, reporting, and evaluation and monitoring)
Desirable: 2 years’ experience in NGOs in the work of implementing or managing programs in any field related to water, sanitation, health or shelter: involving assessments, design, planning, implementation, budgeting, reporting, and evaluation and monitoring with experience in working in the informal tented settlement
Member of syndicate of Engineers is a preference
70% field work and 30% office based
