Purpose of the position:
Under the supervision and guidance of the Commodity Supervisor, the incumbent is to undertake commodity handling and distribution to intended beneficiaries in the most Accountable and transparent way. Maintain coordination and develop relationships with stakeholders. Facilitate logistics for food movement between FDPs and also community sensitization and mobilization and training of FDP and other village Committees.

Community sensitization and mobilization for purposes of beneficiary registration, verification, Food and cash distribution.
Coordination of Food and cash distribution at the Final Distribution Points (FDPs)/camps in liaison with the Community leaders and Distribution Committees.
Conduct sensitization meetings with the beneficiaries and community members at the pre-distribution on Nutrition and Hygiene awareness and purchasing of food commodities.
Ensure feedback mechanism in every distribution exercise.
Ensure all people who are eligible/meet the beneficiary selection criteria have been registered and included in the beneficiary lists.
Ensure that beneficiary lists are updated at all times with the information of people who left, died and returned
Facilitate the process of Distribution Village Committee training.
Monitor and give support to the Distribution Village Committee in the process of them doing their work.
Guide the Distribution Village Committees in supervising in the process of cash distribution and data collection.
Ensure cash transfer and food distribution layout is set before any distribution starts.
Ensure documented Pre distribution briefing is conducted focusing on but not limited to beneficiary entitlements, feedback on complaints, donors, project duration, use of CRM etc)
Ensure that cash and food distribution is done according to World Vision commodity management standards: including ensuring there is crowd control measures, banner displaying who are the donors and other partner.
Ensure proper accounting of cash distributed at the Pay Point as well as all the cash returned by the community representatives using standard documentation provided by World Vision International.
Prepare and submit daily cash distribution reports as well as monthly reports based on actual cash distributed to beneficiaries.
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Minimum Qualification required: Diploma in Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration, Community Development, and Commodity Management
Experience: 2 Years in Commodity Handling business
Preferred: College Certificate
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
At least one year’s previous experience in Food distribution.
Ability to perform field assignments
Willingness to travel for long period of time in difficult terrain, harsh and demanding conditions.
Be willing to live and work in very difficult and security-risk areas.
At least one year’s field experience.
