World Vision Mali recruits for the following positions (1)

Title: Development Facilitator for Smat Scaling Project

Location: Koro

Contract type: Local

Report to: Project Manager

Purpose

To facilitate development activities at the Project level through community entry, mobilization and participation in project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation for the achievement of child well-being aspirations

Observe mission and core values of World Vision and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others

Major Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in the preparation of project planning activities level.

  • Carry out the project activities planned in communities to achieve the project objectives.

  • Facilitate communication between project and partners of the project.

  • Facilitate and report on development activities in communities.

  • Conduct regular monitoring of projects to ensure project activities are conducted as planned.

  • Build capacity of communities and partners to prepare and respond to change climate.

Other Competencies/Attributes:

  • Development facilitation skills

  • Monitoring, reporting and proposal writing skills

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

  • Educational level required: Diploma (BAC + 2yrs) in Economics, Agriculture, Business Administration, Development studies /planning, Social Science disciplines or related field.

  • Technical Training qualifications required: Professional technical skill desired (certification?)

  • Experience: 2 years in development facilitation

  • Preferred: BA/BSC (license) in Economics, Agriculture, Business Administration, Development studies /planning, Social Science disciplines or related field.

Technical Skills & Abilities:

  • Computers skills

  • Development facilitation skills

  • Monitoring, reporting and proposal writing skills

  • Driving skills

  • Perform other duties as required.

Working Environment / Conditions:

  • Work environment: Office-based with travel to the field

  • Travel: 20 % Domestic/international travel is required.

  • On call: 10%
