To lead and coordinate knowledge management in the National Office in order to facilitate intentional learning, evidence building around innovation development and best practice adaption to improve the quality and outcomes of programs and projects to better contribute to sustainable well-being of children

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate the development and implementation of an Integrated Learning , Innovation and Knowledge Management plan.

  2. Establish and manage WV Mali Resource Centre comprising hard and soft copies of both internal and external publications and any other information produced in the organization from all programs/projects of all funding types.

  3. Systematize the gathering, synthesize, dissemination and use of key lessons learned, best practices and innovations ensuring standardized methodologies/approaches in alignment with WVI Knowledge Management systems and processes.

  4. Contribute the facilitation of research on good practices and potential innovations including measurements related to program cycle management,

  5. Coordinate and facilitate learning events (including internal and external stakeholders) to ensure capturing and sharing lessons learnt and best practices across all programs and projects.

  6. Ensure the availability of relevant information needed in Resource Acquisition and Management and for evidence building in general for internal and external use.

  7. Support the adoption of program management information systems /solutions such as Horizon, Geographical Information systems.

  8. Create a culture that encourages knowledge sharing, and ensure that knowledge is thoroughly shared with the organization as a whole and not just with individuals.

Other Competencies/Attributes:

  • Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.

  • Attend and lead in daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.

  • Perform other duties related to as required.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

Minimum Educational level required: University Degree in Development, Social Sciences, Statistics or Social Research or any related field.

Preferred Educational Requirement

  • Technical Training qualifications required: Professional technical skill desired in Knowledge Management /Research, Evaluation , Data Management, Innovation Development Skills, System based Program Information Management

  • Experience: At least 3 years of practical experience in Knowledge Management, research, program/project information systems management

  • Other: Computer skills and database management skills, M&E methods and approaches, Document review and report writing skills are preferred.

Working Environment / Conditions:

  • Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field (80%)

  • Travel: 10% Domestic travel is required.

  • On call: 10%
