Project Director of Campos de Esperanza
Bachelor or Master’s degree in international development, or related field
Minimum of five years of experience in project management, supervision, administration, and implementation of cooperative agreement and/or contract requirements (including meeting deadlines, achieving targets, and overseeing the preparation and submission of required reports), preferably in Mexico.
Ability to maintain working relationships with all project stakeholders, including public, private, and civil society partners (including trade unions) and effectively build partnerships between them.
Experience in a leadership role in implementing projects relevant to this solicitation.
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
Fluency in English and Spanish.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Establish leadership, technical oversight, and personal credibility and implement and maintain clearly understood chain of authority and accountability
Oversee project implementation, ensuring that all program and partner goals are met through proper design, technical support, planning, and roll-out; monitor field implementation areas
Establish and maintain effective project reporting, evaluation, and communication systems.
Liaise with USDOL Program Manager, Government of Mexico and private sector officials at national, provincial and district levels, local communities, and with other organizations as appropriate.
Oversee project administrative processes, including staffing, procurement, reporting, sub granting, and finances
Organize and direct the work of local staff and short-term advisors. Provide supervision, training and performance appraisals Evaluate program effectiveness and determine corrective action needed to improve goal achievement
Submit timely accurate and professional program reports that meet donor requirements
Manage project budget within approved spending levels and ensure accurate and timely financial reports to donor
Ensure compliance of project and project sub-grantees to USDOL Management Project Guidelines and USG regulations
