The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and operational management to a privately-funded grant from World Vision United States (WVUS) focused on strengthening faith communities’ ability to provide an enabling, caring, and protected environment for Palestinian girls and boys, especially the most vulnerable children. The role of the Faith & Development (F&D) Project Manager is to:
Manage the project in collaboration with World Vision Jerusalem – West Bank – Gaza (JWG) staff and WVUS to ensure high quality results and on time spending in accordance with the project’s agreement.
Strengthen partnership with local Christian and Muslim faith-based organizations and communities towards mobilizing faith actors in initiatives that address violence against children, strengthen the family, and strengthen safeguarding of children in private, faith-based schools.
The main focus of the project is the implementation of the Celebrating Families (CF) project model as the umbrella of this project. The goal of Celebrating Families is to support families to create a safe and nurturing environment for children’s spiritual nurture and development. The project model is designed to develop the skills of parents/ caregivers to create safe and loving environment for children’s holistic development
The project manager will be responsible to drive the establishment of partnerships with Muslim faith-based organizations and entities, including finalizing the contextualization of World Vision’s Celebrating Families project model for Muslim contexts with the goal of increasing Muslim faith actors’ contribution to reducing child abuse and violence against children and women.
The project manager will also supervise the F&D officer responsible for working with Christian entities to increase their contribution toward reducing violence against children through the implementation of CF model, mobilization of the Church to participate in the It Takes a World to End Violence in and around Schools advocacy campaign, and to help Christian schools implement effective safeguarding policies.

Process led and coordinated for identifying priority Muslim communities to pilot the project in different zonal offices before scale up. Knowledge management and lessons learned captured during the contextualization process and shared within the organization.
Project documents, such as the log frame, DIP and budget are up to date and centrally filed on Box, in coordination with grants function and supervisor.
Procurement, delivery, and implementation of project activities conducted or supervised for on time achievement in coordination with supply chain and finance. All contracts and MoUs with key partners developed and in place. Cash flow targets met and timeline of activity tracking table achieved with appropriate corrective actions taken as necessary in coordination with supervisor. Monitoring and evaluation of the project achieved in coordination with the Evidence, Learning & Accountability team. Programmatic reports written, internally review, and submitted on time to WVUS. Information provided on time to Finance to enable on time financial reports. Risks successfully managed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: |
Minimum 3 years’ related experience in a NGOs or Faith based organizations Past project management experience Project management abilities, including ability coordinate trainings, monitor activities and budgets, and coordinate evaluations. Ability to write quality reports Proficiency in MS Office Excellent writing skills in English and Arabic Good experience in Project Cycle Management including, the development of project’s logical frame work and its components.
