PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To adapt and implement the Celebrating Families project model in order to increase intolerance in Muslim societies for child abuse and violence against children and women.
ROLE DIMENSION / DESCRIPTION
Relationship Building and External Engagement
Build understanding among Operations on the Waqf’s structure, stakeholder within ministry, added value or partnering together
Introduce Celebrating Families to the ministry, share experience of other Islamic countries and develop a plan for contextualization
Work with ELA on the Early Marriage research as well as North Zonal Office and leadership to identify how to take research results to government, community and faith leaders.
Deepen relationship with relevant imams in target communities.
TIME SPENT 20%
Work with the North zonal manager to contextualize the Celebrating Families project model
Contextualise Celebrating Families, including development of all materials and diagrammes in Arabic and using appropriate language and illustrations.
Work with the External Engagement & Governance manager to ensure the curriculum is certified by GC and Technical Champion
Work to develop additional sessions in the Islamic contextualization that can discuss the negative impact of early marriage as well as violent discipline by parents. Ensure relevant sessions are designed for children during the workshop in consultation with other technical areas (e.g., CPA life skills)
TIME SPENT 35%
Recommend an implementation model that will work in partnership with the Ministry of Waqf and answers questions such as roll out within the ministry, who should be trained as ToFs, who conducts workshops, how priority families are identified and how follow-up happens
Hold one or two pilot workshops to test and refine.
Attend ITAW campaign development meetings in order to bring additional perspective on how to achieve social change with the Muslim community in the context of a national campaign
As the campaign develops, discuss with Ministry of Waqf to secure involvement.
Develop an approach to serve communities in relevant APs in relevant zone(s)
Work with relevant Ministry of Waqf trained facilitators or directly provide workshop
Arrange logistics and associated PRs for accommodation, transportation and stationary.
Establish ongoing family groups with participating families after the workshop and conduct bi-monthly visits to participating households for 12 months.
Work with relevant CESC Officer and according to the design of the implementation model, identify and prioritize most vulnerable families to participate.
Manage all expected outcomes in zone, work with M&C officer to ensure monitoring and outcome level evidence is built, and provide all reporting for relevant zone(s) for PNS reporting.

Degree in Religion studies, development or related field
Knowledge & Skills
Ability to coordinate projects, trainings, monitor activities and budgets, and coordinate evaluations.
Ability to write quality reports
Proficiency in MS Office
Excellent writing skills in English and Arabic
Ability to conduct assessments surveys and writing its reports
Good experience in Project Cycle Management including, the development of project’s logical frame work and its components.
Excellent people and communication skills and ability to share skills, information and knowledge with others
Minimum 3 years’ related experience in a NGOs or Faith based organizations
Willingness to be flexible with hours and able to travel across the West Bank as required
