Assistant Financial Analyst

Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The primary purpose of the position is to consolidate the twenty monthly Support Office Financial Information and National Office Local Income in Sunsystems to produce the monthly WVI Global Financial Report, a high level report for WVI Partnership Leaders. Secondly is to assist Lead Financial Analyst in providing comprehensive and supplemental reports and analyses that would help partnership leaders and stakeholders in defining their future goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administrating the FFR automated consolidation tools of SO FR, Cash Balance and Monthly Calendarized Budget.

  • Continuesly administering the Support Office database in Sunsystems - consolidation through journal import of SO Financial Report and Cash Balances to SOC Database as well as GC Cash Balances to GCO Database.

  • Updating of the templates for SO FR, Cash Balances, 3 months Rolling Funding Forecast, SO Balance Sheet and GFR’s.

  • Calculate current Forecast rates, a blended rate of Hedge, Unhedge and latest forecast rate from Global treasury. Pivot and Infor Q&A reporting tools is being used in updating the latest Forecast Cash Income rates & Cash Funding Alternative rate.

  • As well as to extract National Office NRD from FRS database,to consolidation of NOs local income in SOC database.

  • Production of monthly global reports, Notes to FS and supplemental analyses for Lead Financial Analyst review prior for distribution.

  • Thorough validation of GFR data against SO report posted in Lotus Notes FFR database.

  • Production of monthly global reports, Notes to FS and supplemental analyses for Lead Financial Analyst review prior for distribution.

  • Thorough validation of GFR data against SO report posted in Lotus Notes FFR database.

  • Prepare SO Extract Table using Infor Query & Analysis (Q&A) reporting tool to extract data from Sunsystem to produce data for uploading into OLAP Cube database.

  • Initial validation of data against GFR prior for checking of Lead Financial Analyst before sending to OLAP Administrator.

  • Prepares Allocation of NO & GC Cash Balances to SO, analysis showing montly analysis of how cash funding sent by SOs to Global Center or fields are being used to fund the projects in the fields. Data extracted from SO Olap Cube.

  • Prepares the SO FR Package - mothly updating of Funding Cash Balance and Spending Report.

  • Consolidated data from Lotus Notes FFR database on the submission date of SO Financial Report in determining timeliness of SO report.

  • Consolidation of 3 months Rolling Funding Forecast and SO Balance Sheet.

  • Updating & extracting the Quarterly SO Detail Report for Support office's validation, production of this report is done in a quarterly basis.

  • Post the WVI Global Financial Report & supplemental reports & analyses in WV Central website.

  • Assisting Lead analyst for urgent AdHoc reports and other analyses requested by our stakeholders.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or other related field.

  • Knowledge in Sunsystem , other Accounting System and Financial reporting tools.

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Excel, Monarch, Vision XL/Executive, Infor Q&A.

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in Accounting & Financial reporting analysis.

  • Excellent in organizational and multi-tasking capabilities.

  • Ability to customize reports in accordance to the need of stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • General knowledge of Financial reporting.

  • Ability to extract data, retrieve and analyse financial information.

  • Posses advance learning of Microsoft Exel.

  • Matured experience in Finance environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of different accounting system and business tools.

  • Ability to work in fast paced team environment & strong analytical/ problem solving capabilities.

  • Preferred CPA or CFA.

  • Preferred MBA.
