PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and complete grant coding on Horizon (documentation of grants information). This will require coordination with responsible offices (support and national offices), monitoring the systems and databases, validating grant data on Horizon, providing support when needed, and training offices on Horizon grant coding. This position will also assist the GGPF team in monitoring reimbursable grants and ensuring compliance to policy. This position will also assist in validating and reviewing labor distribution reports and some blocked party screening tasks.
Ensure that Horizon data are updated, complete and in sync with other World Vision Systems including but not limited to Horizon, PBAS, and OLAP. This involves coordinating with Support Offices (SOs), National Offices (NOs) & Financial
Reporting Service Centre (FRSC).
Review and analyze entries done in Horizon, PBAS and OLAP.
Prepare the data analysis to reconcile and in sync all the data information with WV financial system.
Coordinate with National Offices on aging of reimbursable grants.
Ensure implementation and compliance with the policies, procedures and accounting standards on cash and voucher transfers, and reimbursable grant.
Work with National Offices to validate the accuracy of Labour Distribution Reports (LDR) and LDR data in OurPeople.
Ensure and validate that there are no duplicate information in the LDR database.
Assist Blocked Party Screening Administrator on the Batch Screening Request of National Offices.
Perform other duties as may be required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
University degree in business, finance or accountancy.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel.
Able to extract data, retrieve, reconcile and analyze financial information.
Able to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization (verbally and in writing).
Can thrive in a multi-cultural, geographically dispersed work environment.
Has at least 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance preferably in an international NGO environment or the like.
Has experience on financial reporting and analysis.
Has experience in coordinating and communicating with various stakeholders.
Fluent in general and business English language - written and verbal English.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Possess advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge or experience in MS Access, MS PowerPivot, PowerBI.
Experience in using SunSystem or any related accounting software system, AP system, HR related systems.
Experience in preparation of financial reporting and analysis.
