PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide financial accounting assistance, finance administrative support and for coordinating finance and a few admin/P&C(HR) task to support the assigned department.
To prepare daily Journal Entries (JEs), Cash Disbursements (CDs) and DVs for daily transactions.
To update cash book based on payments to be made and inform Sr Accountant to request for additional funding.
To prepare monthly cheques for vendor payments or staff.
To prepare the monthly bank recon to tie with bank balance in the monthly financial report.
To update the employees medical and dental claims on a monthly basis.
To monitor the monthly prepayment and accruals and update the monthly file accurately and timely to tie with the monthly financial report.
To assist in the preparation of yearly audit and tax schedules as needed by supervisor.
To maintain fixed asset listing for KL office.
Pre-Approval (PA), Settlement Advise (SA) and Direct Charges:
Assist with PA creation for Global Information Communication Technology (GICT) monthly, yearly or via request & updating PA info in the PA/SA system regularly.
To update PA excel spreadsheet timely and accurately.
To issue, monitor and execute SA Chargebacks and monthly Salary & Benefits (S&B) SAs for cost centres operated from WVI KL Office based on approved TORs, supporting docs or approved instructions.
To prepare monthly chargebacks via direct charge upon receiving information from PICs for GICT chargebacks.
HR & ADMIN
To provide forms and trainings to new hire at World Vision Interntional (WVI) Kuala Lumpur (KL) office as and when there is a new hire.
To write and prepare submission for local authority for the monthly contributions as per statutory requirement.
Finance Related Matters:
To assist in other finance matter as required by Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent work experience.
Typically requires 1-2 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Experience in using Sunsystem or any related accounting software system, AP system, HR related systems.
Experience in preparation of financial accounting.
Payroll and regulatory compliance.
Non profit work environment.
