The SSC Finance Lead will provide overall leadership and management of the SSC Finance Team, by promoting financial stewardship, accountability, reliability and accuracy of financial information to be used by senior management for decision making. To implement financial policies, ensuring compliance at all levels, and to ensure effective resource acquisition, utilization and safe guarding of assets according to WV approved policies and procedures.
The SSC Finance Lead will be responsible for building a culture of continuous improvement, customer service orientedness, and meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements/Key Performance Indicators.
Manage data integrity and preparation of financial information to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness and accessibility
Review and approve cash forecasts, prior to submission to Treasury
Maintain an excellent understanding of GAAP reporting requirements, general ledger accounting processes and information systems
Ability to enforce consistent processes, policies and procedures and maintain and execute adequate internal controls
Lead the SSC Finance team: screening new hires, training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and mentoring, and addressing issues.
Support the roll-in strategy and implementation of the SSC
Build and sustain relationships with NO leaders; deliver business advice grounded in firm understanding of financial and operational performance; create and execute plans in collaboration with the business
Build a shared service culture among the team that is one based on continuous improvement, service oriented to the internal customers, accountable to deliver the terms of the Service Level Agreement, and meeting or exceeding the agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Lead the Finance Regional Team during the Finance SSC preparation and implementation
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or a related field
Preferred - Master’s degree with a major in finance, business administration or accounting,
