Regional Finance Analyst
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position provides specialized financial and accounting information and analyses to pre-defined stakeholders. Using various reporting and analytical tools, and using analytical and technical skills, this position will be responsible for specialized, complex or large financial analyses assignments required by stakeholders.
An FP&A Manager and the Lead Finance Analyst-National Offices will provide oversight for this position.
This position will be the primary liaison between the Regional Offices and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This coordination will ensure that specific needs and issues of the region and FP&A are addressed.
Produce reports and analyses to support the financial analysis requirements of the Regional Office and FP&A.
This includes special and intelligent analyses that FP&A will require for the WVI board and Op Com.
Develops new and effective tools, template and techniques that National Offices can use to produce financial reports and analyses more efficiently and accurately
Works on the uniform measures in the National Office financial reporting.
Involves on the overall initiatives on various scorecards and KPIs for the region.
Train key finance staff in the National Offices to do financial analysis and to train these staff in using the various OLAP and SunSystems tools/templates to do analysis.
Guide and act as a consultant to Regional Offices by providing technical advice on complex financial issues and analyses.
Lead meetings to encourage interaction and the exchange of ideas, concerns and proposals from various stakeholders (RO, NO, and other groups/departments within or outside FRSC) to facilitate project delivery and improved services.
Supervises assessments or examines the adequacy and effectiveness of WV National Office financial reporting standards, practices and policies; recommends changes to enhance operating efficiencies in the region.
Represent FRSC on regular finance meetings and consultations with the region and FP&A.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Bachelor's or University Degree in Accounting.
Strong Financial Reporting and Analysis competency. Preferably someone who has good experience on data analysis.
Excellent multi-tasking and organization aptitudes.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience preferably in an international NGO environment or the like.
Can thrive in a multi-cultural, geographically dispersed work environment.
Able to work with several functional managers or stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Acces, and Powerpoint; and the ability to quickly learn and use other software packages like OLAP, Monarch data extraction tool, etc.
Advanced experience/skills in using Excel is a plus.
Skilled in preparing complex management reports on a timely basis.
Certified Public Accountant (preferred but not required).
