PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The ProVision Senior Business Analyst works with the ProVision Programme Director in influencing key stakeholders and other team members, recommending and managing deliverables and tasks in implementing new functionalities, system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives, leading ProVision deployment to additional offices / entities across the Partnership, working with Shared Services and other stakeholders to track progress of the Programme, and influencing and executing change management initiatives. At the direction of the Programme Director, and in collaboration with other ProVision team members, the Senior Business Analyst provides process governance support as needed, interfaces with Regions and their NO’s to capture feedback and understand & relay issues, helps monitor the performance of the ProVision support model, works with Shared Services to execute communications and change management plans as well as perform data analysis of ProVision metrics, and carries out other duties as assigned.

The ProVision Senior Business Analyst is expected to provide analysis, project management, independent judgement, decision-making, problem solving, customer service and support for the ProVision Programme Director in the management and optimization of the ProVision Programme. In addition, the Senior Business Analyst is expected to work independently of the ProVision Program Director to influence and lead team members, key stakeholders and NO teams in the realization of the global Programme. The Senior Business Analyst will also independently determine and drive specific assignments as needed by the demands of the Programme and problems that need to be solved using good professional judgement.

To achieve desired Programme objectives, it is critical to have optimally functional project teams which includes leadership of Programme strategy and objectives, strong stakeholder management and partnership with a wide range of audiences, analytical capability and strong project management. The Senior Business Analyst plays an integral role to the Programme in leadership and influence to drive a wide range of activities including working closely with NOs and their senior leadership teams, providing strong customer service, maintaining project management and ensuring all parties understand their deliverables, executing timely and with quality. The Senior Business Analyst will have to deal with a wide range of demands including competing priorities at times which requires clearly demonstrable skills in project management, stakeholder relationships, discipline and focus to tasks and objectives, problem solving, independent decision-making, time management, prioritization and multi-tasking.

This role requires a great deal of effective leadership, influence, partnership and stakeholder management with groups like GSCM, Global Finance, National Office staff, Regional Leadership, Shared Services, external consultants, the ProVision team, and the ProVision Programme Director. Effective communication and building strong working relationships is a must.

ProVision provides WVI with its first, global integrated source-to-pay business process and technology capability replacing decentralized, manual processes of sourcing, contracting, and procure-to-pay processes.

The role of the Senior Business Analyst will contribute to the following areas:

  • Source-to-pay solution optimization by over 50 WVI partnership countries across seven global regions, DMT and the Global Centre

  • Cost savings realization, cost transparency and accountability of funds spent throughout the Partnership

  • Integration and management of over 100,000 suppliers globally serving WVI material and service needs

  • Provide the ability to monitor and enforce process and financial controls to ensure GSCM, Finance and Procurement Policy and Procedures are in compliance globally and to the satisfaction of the Global Process Owners

  • Provide servant leadership to the ProVision Programme team and peers, stakeholders and constituents - inspiring, influencing, motivating, mentoring them to do their best and achieve our mission goals.

  • Exhibit behavior of good stewardship of WVI resources according to WVI policies and guidelines, discipline and detail in all aspects of good project management, and ensure all work is well planned, coordinated and communicated to the ProVision Programme Director, team members and stakeholders.

The role requires experience in World Vision globally, strong capability to learn new areas of the business quickly, exercise strong leadership and influencing skills, demonstrate business acumen, demonstrate flexibility, work with a sense of urgency, be effective in problem solving and sound decision-making and exercise disciple to stay to task.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Programme Leadership and Influence:

  • Actively participate in the design of Programme strategies and objectives through influence, leadership and contributions that drives the Programme most effectively to its desired outcomes. This would include being a key contributor to and implementer of strategy, analysis of various alternatives to strategy with recommendations, evaluation of current metrics and recommendations for metric enhancements, design of the Programme roadmap, and selling and influencing leadership at the Regional and NO levels towards committing to continuous improvement and optimization efforts.

Engagement Management:

  • Now that ProVision has been implemented across the Partnership, ongoing engagement with Regions and their NO’s is necessary to evaluate and help elevate the current maturity of each office in its journey of fully adopting, leveraging and realizing the value of ProVision. This requires a high level of engagement, deep knowledge of the Programme and ProVision, influencing and leadership to assess, evaluate and bring regions and their NO’s along the maturity curve.

Implementation Programme Management:

  • The Senior Business Analyst will support the logistics and project management to execute the Programme’s implementation strategy for WV entities pursuing adoption of ProVision for the first time (ie. DMT, other NO’s, etc.), and for WV offices seeking enhanced ProVision functionalities and capabilities. This role will partner with both internal and external stakeholders to provide leadership that ensures compliance and standards are maintained, implementations remain on track, assessments are taken to evaluate our progress and recommend / influence course corrections and actions where needed.

Programme Special Projects as needed:

  • The Senior Business Analyst will be available or identify critical or outstanding Programme objectives, tasks or deliverables as needed and work on special assignments to ensure overall success of the Programme.

Programme Global Standards Compliance:

  • The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a ProVision expert on implementation methodologies, ProVision A-Z, iGuide, training and tutorial quick guide material, use of the technology and acumen across the entire Programme to act as a primary resource for collaborating with other stakeholders such as Super Users, Shared Services and FTLD in managing change to materials and determining strategies and methods as to how material is available and accessed by the Programme and constituents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or related field.

  • Good working knowledge of business processes, related workflow and how it relates to use of technology.

  • Good understanding and working knowledge of automated information systems and technology.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability to work inter-dependently i.e. as a team member but also independently when necessary with little guidance.

  • Proven problem-solving experience.

  • At least 4-5 years’ work experience in a business setting.

  • Working experience with automated business information systems.

  • Worked in a project management setting.

  • PMP Preferred.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Graduate degree in business or related field.

  • Ability to see the big picture as well as focus on the detail.

  • High technical information systems and IT aptitude.

  • Project management.

  • Leadership and influence over stakeholders, internal teams and constituents.

  • Prior knowledge & experience with ProVision preferred.

  • Experience working in Finance, Supply Chain and/or Shared Service settings.

  • Experience working with global supply chain enterprise systems.

Work Environment/Travel:

  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
