SunSystems Specialist

Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Responsible for providing support to SunSystems Applications from a global perspective. Provide construction, implementation and conduct training to SunSystems projects.

Responsible for creating manuals and system-related documents. Extend technical assistance to IT groups, technical staff and finance users directly for reported errors, issues or requirements related to SunSystems and all its interface.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the implementation of SunSystems HUBS project and its related initiatives across the partnership.

  • Perform advanced financial and technical problem solving.

  • Conduct status monitoring and engagement by country.

  • Engage with other SunSystems project leaders, GC Finance and Accounting teams on standard processes and policies.

Manage and provide advanced financial and technical production support.

Implement other SunSystems projects and initiatives.

Enhance global financial reports.

Provide coaching to the SunSystems Support Associates. Act as technical advisor to the tasks assigned/delegated to the SunSystems Support Associates. Act as backup to the SunSystems Team Lead in supervising the team.

Facilitate SunSystems Training and Backstopping for Offices as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's/University Degree specialized in IT (i.e. Computer Science or Engineer) or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance with inclination to IT.

  • Knowledgeable in SunSystems Administration and Ledger Accounting.

  • Knowledgeable in SQL Server Administration.

  • Expertise in MS Office applications, especially in MS Excel VBA.

  • Experienced in IBM Notes.

  • Strong technical/IT support experience.

Preferred:

  • Advanced SunSystems and Vision/PMQA Report Writing skills.

  • Basic SQL scripting.

  • Knowledgeable in Financial Reporting/Business Intelligence software.

  • Able to communicate effectively.

  • Able to work effectively under minimum supervision.

Work Environment:

  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
