Project Assistant I: FAIRO & CTS (Dollow)

Purpose of the Position:

The purpose of this position is to support the Food Assistance Sector with efficient targeting, reporting, collate and analyze program information for effective implementation

Major Responsibilities:

  • Participate and ensure proper targeting and registration of project beneficiaries for the food and cash, nutrition and other WV projects.

  • Conduct data and information capture in the provided data bases (CTS, LMMS, SCOPE, NTS) while ensuring that all reporting of the assistance programming follows agreed reporting protocols.

  • Making sure that the Commodities Tracking Systems; CTS, LMMS, SCOPE are functional and used effectively to track project information.

  • Reviewing reports and timely submission of project invoices for both partners and WV, monthly CTS and CSR Reports.

  • Prepare accurate and reliable statistical analysis as required by the management.

  • In collaboration with the field CTS/FAIRO coordinator and the field teams support new projects roll out, cash and voucher distribution.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience:

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Planning & Management, Community Development or closely related field from a reputable and recognized University /College.

  • Minimum Diploma in Community Development, Project Planning & Management, Business Administration or Related Field

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a related job & also in relief and development work.

  • Practical experience in managing data bases (CTS, LMMS, SCOPE)

  • Practical experience in handling food/cash distributions

  • Good knowledge of SPHERE standards.

  • Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel and Power point Packages.

  • Experience in community based participatory development approaches strongly desired

Working Environment / Conditions:

  • Work environment: Field–based;

  • Travel: 10% Domestic/international travel is required

  • On call: Immediately
