Project Coordinator: FAIRO & CTS (Dollow)
Purpose of the Position:
The purpose of this position is to support the overall WV South Central’s food, cash and voucher efficiency in targeting, reporting, collate and analyze program information for effective use during implementation. The position holder will:
Provide overall oversight to the CTS sector ensuring that Reporting of all food and non-food aid programming follows agreed reporting protocols
The Commodities Tracking Systems; CTS, LMMS, SCOPE are functional and used effectively to track project information.
Project invoices for both partners and WV, monthly CTS, CSR reports are correct and submitted on time for payment
Supporting field level reporting by ensuring that staff and partners are familiar with the donor reporting templates (CP) reports and that the food stocks reflected in the reports are correct.
Supporting all cash and voucher roll out for projects in collaboration with the Commodities Officer and the Field teams support new project in rolling out cash and voucher distribution.
Generation of project CSS and Invoices for payment.
Review all field commodity reports and ensure accuracy; ensure that they reflect the picture of what transpired in the field
Ensuring that day to day cash/voucher processes are followed & staff are well trained to use the data bases for their day to day implementation
Project Coordinator must have good time management, multitasking skills
Good team work and leadership skills are essential in order to motivate different groups of people to fulfill their responsibilities within a given time frame.
Able to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources.
Basic to Intermediate English language and fluency in local languages spoken in the working area.
A person of high moral and ethical standards
Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as negotiation skills;
Must demonstrate a willingness to mentor and teach others;
Excellent analytical skills, particularly in the realm of grant management;
Ensure a gender perspective in the scope of work;
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience:
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Computer Studies, Economics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or closely related field from a reputable and recognized University /College.
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a related job.
Practical experience in managing data bases (CTS, LMMS, SCOPE)
Ability to handle community engagement, mobilization
Practical experience in handling food/cash distributions
Basic to Intermediate English Spoken and Written;
Good knowledge of SPHERE standards.
Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel and Power point Packages.
Experience in community based participatory development approaches strongly desired
Experience: at least 3 years of experience in Relief and Development work
Working Environment / Conditions:
Work environment: Field -based with frequent travel to the project sites
Travel: 10% Domestic/international travel is required
On call: Immediately
