ADMINISTRATION OFFICER - Gender & Disability Project - ANCP iLIVE

Location: Based in Batticaloa with frequent travel to areas of operation in the North & East

We are currently looking for an Administration Officer for a Gender & Disability inclusive Economic Development Grant funded iLIVE Project which aims to promote economic empowerment and social change by helping Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and vulnerable women in achieving sustainable livelihood & income generation opportunities. The project will work closely with all implementing partners, National & Provincial Government authorities, Disabled People's Organizations (DPO), Producer groups and savings clubs. Funded by the Australian NGO Corporation Programme(ANCP) working in collaboration with World Vision Australia, World Vision Lanka, CBM Australia and Promundo the project will cover Northern & Eastern Provincesof Sri Lanka.

Job Profile

This position will provide administrative support and assistance required for the effective implementation of project deliverables in the given areas of operation in the Northern & Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka. He/she will assist the relevant stakeholders in procurement/logistics, fleet/driver/premises maintenance & supervision, provide required support in project supply chain management in supplier registration, procurement & related tasks for the project, support for finance/bill payment documentation process & related system requirements, and oversee visitors/travel requisites & other general administrative duties as required by the Project Team.

Education, Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma. Experience in a similar role will be an advantage

  • Good communication skills in English with ability to communicate in a local language

  • Good aptitude for IT, preferably with basic working knowledge of MS Office Suite

  • Good interpersonal skills & ability to work in a team in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Valid Driver’s License ( heavy vehicle) & able to travel frequently within areas of operation
